Bare Feet Retreat is a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath beach house located 0.1 miles north of Garden City Pier in the second row beach house community, Retreat at Garden City Beach. This house features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances including a microwave and dishwasher, as well as a washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Four TVs and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king and one queen-sized bed, two twin-over-double bunk bed sets, and a queen-sized sofa bed. Outdoor amenities feature a furnished covered porch, and community swimming pool. The community pool is open seasonally from mid-April to mid-October, weather permitting. All opening and closing dates are determined by the HOA. Dog friendly. Limit two dogs - 70-pound maximum weight limit if bringing one dog, 50-pound maximum weight limit per dog if bringing two. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.
