Large full width balconies on the first and second floors are perfect to enjoy a fully unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. Just south of the Garden City pier, there are no high rise buildings to look past to enjoy the view, fewer crowds competing for beach space. Sandy Bay is an oceanfront oasis of comfort and convenience. Every room is beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. Relax after every vacation day with flat screen TVs in the living room and all four bedrooms. WiFi internet access is provided. There is parking space for four cars. Motorcycles, small trailers and golf carts are ok. The first floor living area has two loveseats and a sofa sleeper, and an armchair. There are full size appliances in the kitchen including a ceramic top stove and a refrigerator with ice dispenser. The kitchen is well equipped with a full complement of cookware and tableware for gracious dining. There is a charcoal barbecue grill for guest use. There are four large bedrooms, each has a flat screen TV and direct balcony access. The first floor bedroom has a queen size bed and bathroom, with balcony access. The master bedroom upstairs has a king size bed and full bath. One upstairs bedroom has three twin beds. The fourth bedroom has a queen size bed and a twin daybed, it shares access to a full bath with the third bedroom. Beds will be made with sheets and pillowcases when you arrive, kitchen and bath towels are included. There is parking space for four vehicles, and you can bring or rent a golf cart. Small dogs (30 lbs and under) may be considered with individual approval and $200+ pet fee. Please contact/email for approval before reserving with pets. Pets are prohibited unless specifically approved in advance. Horry County ordinance prohibits dogs on the beach between May 1st and Labor Day between the hours of 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. The person renting this property must be at least 25 years old, have a valid credit card, and be present for the entire rental. Garden City Beach is perfect for a family vacation, away from the traffic and crowds, but still a short drive to the wide variety of attractions, shopping, dining and entertainment the Grand Strand has to offer. The Garden City Beach pier, restaurants and shops are are 3 blocks north of Sandy Bay. Luxury shopping and dining are a few minutes north in the Market Commons area. Just a short drive north are all the attractions and shopping of Myrtle Beach, Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand shopping center, the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, and one of the world's largest Ferris wheels. For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world's largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden, it's just a few minutes south on Business 17\. Not far further south is Pawley's Island, home of famous rope hammocks. Historic Charleston is just 1 1/2 hours south, plan a day trip to take an informative carriage tour of this beautiful old city. Tossed out a rusty, broken umbrella. Adirondak chairs were broken and dangerous for kids to sit on. All our towels and wet clothing got rust stained from old chairs that were on the deck. There were no hooks to hang wet towels on inside or outside. No wine opener. Had to do some landscaping on lower level to get to the stairs from the carport. When we arrived there were none and the office was closed for the next 2 days. 2 of the single beds had black spots on the sheets under the bed spread . When we contacted the office they said we will replace the sheets. They said housekeeping noticed stuff coming out of the vents when they trims the heat on. My point is they had to see the black spots all over the sheets on 2 different beds but still put the bed spreads on . There must be a lot of stuff in the vents! The house is old and needs a lot of updating. It is right on the water in a nice neighborhood but also right on the main road and is very noisy. ##### James H. Beds are old and need replaced, very noisy and just not comfortable. Appliances were decent at best: microwave didn’t get food hot, dryer took several cycles to dry clothes, refrigerator leaked. Porch is just beautiful with a great ocean view but more furniture needs added. There’s a pile of “junk” in the corner of the porch that consists of broken beach chairs, broken umbrellas and other miscellaneous items that appears to be left behind. In general, VERY dated and mold was an issue throughout the house. Specifically, the living room couches were worn out (SAGGING AND UNCOMFORTABLE), the kitchen stovetop was in terrible condition and there were not any good pans to even cook the basics, (pans too small, no non stick pans and alot of cheap plastic cooking utensils that didn't work, no can opener or cookie sheets). Furniture on the back deck was in terrible condition, rockers rotten (one actually fell apart when a cup of coffee was placed on the arm). The bathrooms were all very dated and the shower heads all needed replaced. The tub shower upstairs and down both leaked and there was mold present. The most disturbing was when we went to bed the first night, the bed was soaked. Upon looking up, there was a huge water stain and leak in the ceiling. The mattress and pillow was soaked - even the surrounding carpet. Mildew and mold were on the ceiling here as well. This had clearly been going on for some time. The windows upstairs and down were hard to see through because there was clearly a condensation issue. The downstairs bathroom had a dripping faucet that got worse as the week progressed. We did call maintenance on both the faucet (which they replaced) and the ceiling (they were able to stop the leak) but there was nothing done to fix the bed so it was unused. ##### valerie s. There are suicide steps going up the front and going out the back are steps down from the porch and back up to the walkway over the dunes and then down another set of steps. With parents near 80yo... this was too much... they stayed in the house or on the porch, which was great. We had some renters next door and across the street that caused concern. Obviously that may never happen again. I really appreciate having the family together so everything else was small potatoes. God’s sunrises and sunsets were beyond words. ##### Alesa S. Many sleepless nights!!! The condition of the property is nowhere near what the photos show. Property in disrepair and dirty. Itrip property managers were contacted but never responded appropriately.
