The room had a musty smell and the walls are paper thin

Nice Clean rooms and facility. Rooms ie bathroom could use some updating, there was water damage to the drywall around the tub area. Neighborhood was a little sketchy though, the building in in front of the hotel is an abandoned gas station, and there were a few homeless people camping out under the awning by the pump islands. The hotel has a lot of security cameras and they are constantly monitoring them, which add piece of mind. Great bargain for our stay.
