Our stay on friday the 19th april 2024 was very disappointing! Firstly the motel advertised a restaurant, this was closed due to not opening for a month, and we didn't sleep for one minute due to the security alarm going off every half an hour. We were driving from Bathurst to Ipswich and relied on a good sleep this we didnt have! Felt extremely upset and fatigued on our 4:30am departure thismorning. #Not happy# will not return nor recommend.

The pools were the only good thing about this motel, although the bed was comfortable. The building was very unattractive from the outside. Maintenance and repairs in our room were terrible. Lots of cracks and crazing in the bathroom and various repairs had obviously been done by an unskilled amateur. Screen door was very difficult to open and the lock was broken. The sofa had clearly not been vacuumed - there was grit all over it. There was no milk in the fridge. There was a toaster but no plates or cutlery. The so-called river view comprised an area with a fallen down pump shed and a broken fence. $189 was an absolute rip-off.

Lovely hot pools, rooms okay - poor management
The Artesian Basin hot pools were great - there is also a cold pool - all lovely. Room quality was variable some quite good and comfortable others pretty basic. However we had a real problem with mansgement. The staff couldn’t find our booking for a second room so we booked and paid for another second room separate to our Hotels.com booking. The second Hotels.com booking was later found after we had checked into and paid for the other room. Management wanted us to pay for this room too and had already in fact charged us for one night in this room. So we had paid for 3 rooms when we only ever booked two and were only using two. Hotels.com were excellent in helping to negotiate a resolution - which was ultimately only partially successful.

This property is probably 2.5 stars because the rooms are too small and the standard of maintenance evidenced by repairs on towel rails etc is very poor, reflecting an unwillingness of owners to invest in the upkeep of the property. The artesian pools were a pleasant surprise and surprisingly well maintained. Overpriced for this standard of accommodations.

It's unfortunate they had a fire last year the destroyed the dinning facility but it looks like progress is on the way for a fresh new space The room on the other hand are in need of some TLC Electric cord hanging from AC unit AC unit while the filter was clean the rest of the AC was filthy The BED is soft some say too soft I felt like I dropped 6 inches when I lay on it woke up with a sore back No tea or coffee in the room plenty of cups and plates though, I was offered milk at check in Power outlet over the bed coming off the wall Drain in shower was slow so water started to pool at my feet No face washers Curtain didn't reach the floor so light comes in when closed Pay extra for river view over the courtyard view the only view I had was a broken fence and 3 old hot water units
