About this property
"Creekside Cottage" w/ Rustic Cabin (Sleeps 25)
Tucked into a wooded hillside, this private ONE-ACRE property offers privacy AND all of the year-round outdoor recreation you could ask for! Nearby golfing, boating, fishing, hiking, swimming, snowmobiling, hunting, skiing, and MORE! Sleeps a total of 25 between the main house and the cabin in the backyard.
This darling bucolic home has everything you are looking for to plan your summer getaway. Creekside Cottage is a short and scenic drive to North Beach so guests have easy access to the region`s most popular destination; Bear Lake! (Also known as the Caribbean of the Rockies.)
While most of Bear Lake`s tourists find short-term housing near the south end of the lake, this home is located in the opposite direction, providing respite from the crowds. The best of both worlds! You will not find a more charming vacation rental in Montpelier.
Main Level Guests will enjoy the tall, open ceilings with skylights to allow natural light to stream in. Comfortable seating and gorgeous decor makes the living room on the main level the perfect place to gather. A half bath is connected to the living room.
In the kitchen, guests can eat and relax in the window nooks or around the table. The kitchen is well-stocked for preparing and serving meals. Out the back door, there is a large covered porch. Guests have access to the BBQ grill and patio furniture. The summer months are perfect to make memories while visiting under the pergola. Extra tables and chairs are available for all the seating you will need to dine and visit.
The master suite is located on the main floor with plenty of space, beautiful views through the large windows, a queen bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, separate tub, double vanity, and spacious walk-in closet.
Upstairs Fifteen guests can stay upstairs between the three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a full built-in bunk bed, a full bed, and a twin bed. Safety rails are available to easily attach to top bunks for extra peace of mind. The second upstairs bedroom has two built-in bunk beds (one full and one twin) and a desk. At the end of the hallway is a bedroom with a full bed. There is a 3/4 bathroom upstairs as well as a study nook with a desk and printer for guests who work remotely.
Basement Guests who need more privacy can retreat to the basement where there is a secluded bedroom with a full bed. The bedroom is located down a hallway behind a door to shut out loud noises and commotion. There is a bathroom connected to the bedroom that can also be accessed from the hallway. The basement has a separate garage entrance as well.
The living room has a large sectional, smart TV, and children`s play area with toys and books. The hosts have included everything that guests might need for a family vacation; life jackets, kayaks, yard games, basketballs, beach toys and towels, etc. Ask the host if there is anything specific you are hoping to borrow...it`s most likely included in the home! All these amenities can be found in the storage closet in the basement.
There is no shortage of style and fun at this home! The only problem with this vacation rental will be getting your family to want to leave at the end of your stay.
The Property Aspens envelop the entire one-acre property, and the home is almost completely camouflaged by trees from the road. Your group will have full privacy in the yard. A circular paved driveway allows plenty of parking spaces for families to gather. Guests are also welcome to use the small two-car garage. Bring your fishing poles and enjoy the creek at the back of the property! The creek is also great for swimming or floating. Children can play for hours outside on the lawn, trampoline, basketball hoop, and swing set. The Bear Lake Valley is perhaps the best place to view the unobstructed, clear, starry sky at night. You`ll have to see it to believe it!
A century-old log cabin was restored and moved onto this property from another location in Bear Lake, and it can accommodate guests for sleeping and relaxing. There is one queen, one full, and two twin beds in the cabin.
*A note regarding occupancy: The main house has enough beds to sleep a maximum of 19 guests. The small cabin in the backyard can accommodate an additional 6 guests. The cabin does NOT have restrooms or a kitchen.

Very well-apportioned home both inside and out. Kids loved the cubby beds, trampoline and swingset. Adults loved the upscale decorating, large grassy area for games, peaceful spots under the Aspens, and plentiful supplies. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals for large groups and basement has extra tables and chairs for outside dining. We had a great time!
We had a great time at the property. It was clean and well-stocked. We all had fun playing corn hole and spike ball in the back yard and the older kids enjoyed playing in the creek.
The cabin ended up being a good fit for the older teens.
There are a lot of smart things done in the main living space and dining room that allowed more people to fit and visit together than you would think. We would definitely book again.
Our stay at this wonderful property was truly a dream come true! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and charm that set the tone for an unforgettable vacation.
The spacious accommodation comfortably housed our large group of 9 adults and 9 children, providing ample space for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. The property's layout was perfect, offering plenty of room for both privacy and quality time together.
We all loved the picturesque and spacious yard. The kids had a blast running around, playing games, and exploring the beautiful outdoors. At night we enjoyed s’mores in the fire pit and stargazing.
Moreover, the location was ideal for day trips to Bear Lake, Pickleville Playhouse and other activities.
From the fully-equipped kitchen that made meal preparations a breeze to the cozy living areas where we gathered for game nights—every aspect of the property was thoughtfully designed for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
We cannot thank the owners enough for their hospitality and for providing such a fantastic setting for our family vacation. This property made our time together incredibly special and created cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
If you're planning a family gathering or vacation with friends, we wholeheartedly recommend this property. It truly is a hidden gem that will leave you with nothing but happy memories and a longing to return. Thank you for an extraordinary stay!
This was our second stay and we absolutely love this house and property. It is so charming and peaceful. The house is absolutely gorgeous. It makes for such a comfortable stay makingMemories with friends.
This place is delightful! It is even better than the photos indicate. There was plenty of room for our group of 21. The kids loved the big yard, with room to run around. It is very clean, well-stocked, and convenient to Bear Lake without the crowds. We would absolutely do it again!
Our family absolutely loved our stay! The kids loved the bunk bed rooms and trampoline outside. All the beds and furniture was extremely comfortable. The property was so beautiful and very relaxing! We were sad to leave but will definitely be back.
My family and I stayed in Montpelier and this place was the perfect place for us. There was plenty of room for my family (6 adults, 6 children) and we all enjoyed our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and we also appreciated all the things to use in the storage room (life jackets/beach towels/chairs). The kids loved the room with the bunk beds and outside with the swingset and trampoline. The back yard was nice and big which allowed us to play yard games. The house was also very clean and overall we were very happy getting to stay at this place. We would definitely stay here again if in the area in the future.
We walked in and gave ourselves and tour. We couldn’t believe we got to stay in such a beautiful place. The yard is beautiful. The children loved to be outside, which we loved. We saw humming birds along with other birds and bats. The children loved playing outside. There is plenty of space. The home is well stocked. I termed was good for those that needed to work. There are multiple gathering spaces.
We had 21 people, and we all slept comfortably (although those who stayed in the rustic cabin got pretty cold.) Everything was clean and organized. The kitchen was pretty crowded, so we were grateful for good weather that allowed us to utilize the outdoor seating at mealtime. It was nice to be able to use the provided extra chairs and tables. The kids enjoyed the big backyard with playground equipment, games and trampoline. We had zucchini boat races in the backyard creek, and used the firepit for roasting marshmallows. Beautiful trees in the yard made a nice setting for family photos. We enjoyed the Oregon Trail Center - make sure to do the tour there, the Butch Cassidy Museum, and Bear Lake North Park! There was plenty of parking for our 7 cars.
This is property is such a dream! The house is beautifully decorated and surrounded by trees and feels totally private, with exception of a friendly neighborhood dog occasionally popping by to say hello. The hosts thought of so many lovely, thoughtful details that made our stay so special (open ended toys and book for kids, reading material, games, etc), and it was easy peasy to get in touch with the property managers should you ever need something. Make sure you put any rolly kids on the bottom bunks--there are no railings on the bunk beds, but the beds are large and comfy and everything was so pretty.
This home was LOVELY and a perfect place for a family to stay ( we had about 15 of us ranging from 2-70) and the house was accomodating for everyone.
The house is BEAUTIFUL and we'll crafted. Think a house from a magazine but not fragile. I've stayed in my fair share of rental properties and this one is high quality. Towels, bedding, kitchen items ECT. They also have all the lake things (kayaks, life jackets, sand toys, towels ya name it they have it)
The host was also very fast at responding so 5 stars to her! I seriously can't thank her enough. This stay was perfect.
