If it's your first time traveling during the COVID-19 outbreak, you'll notice a host of new restrictions and standards in place. Follow these tips and make your escape to Mollens go off without a hitch:

• Research what, if any, restrictions or rules apply to both your destination and origin. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so make sure you check before you book your flight.
• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA employee will require you to adjust your mask for identification purposes.
• You're no longer required to hand your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA employee. Rather, you should position the pass on the reader and then hold it up to allow the agent to visually inspect it.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will have to be removed from your bag to be screened.
• Remove items from your pocket, like your wallet, phone and small change, and place them in your carry-on rather than the bins. This will minimize handling during screening.
• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Keeping your food separate from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA agent will need to touch and open your bag for inspection.
