Split into a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom traditional style Tuscan villa along with a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage with private pool with stunning mountain views, these two houses are rented together with private use of gardens and pool. Sleeping 12 in total, this is a wonderful peaceful retreat, yet within walking distance of a couple of restaurants and just a 20 minute drive in either direction to two market towns, with other villages and restaurants on the way... Ideal for a relaxing break, and perfect if you like walking as the properties are close to the tracks leading up to the Apuane peaks. This really is a picture post card location, with complete privacy at the pool. Both properties are made out of traditional stone, creating a romantic olde worlde feel, and ensuring the houses stay beautifully cool for sleeping. Main Villa: This character farmhouse has been renovated with love and care, and is furnished with a mixture of new and antique furniture. Windows are chestnut, with internal shutters adding to the Tuscan feel of this property which boasts wonderous views... Ground floor: Well equipped country style Tuscan kitchen/breakfast room, leading to a very spacious living/diner, with comfy seating, fireplace and dining table for up to 12\. Also on this floor is a utility room with washing machine. Ground floor shower room with WC, shower and washbasin. A staircase from the living room leads to a very spacious landing with a sofabed. From the landing there are: 2 twin bedroooms 2 double bedrooms, one of them with ensuite shower room, with shower, wash basin, WC and bidet and private balcony with stunning view - complete romance! Family bathroom with telephone style shower mixer tap. Cottage: This renovated stone cottage is ideal for anyone wishing to have privacy from the rest of the group Enter the cottage via a covered loggia area, ideal for dining al fresco or relaxing in the shade whilst drinking in the stunning vista. The cottage boasts a living room with fireplace and sofa, along with a kitchen. There is a steep narrow wooden staircase leading to: Twin room Double room Shower room, with shower, WC, handbasin and bidet Outside: Extensive land leading to open fields and stunning mountain views. 2 covered pergolas for al fresco relaxing and dining, with that at the main house providing enough room for all guests to dine together. Barbeque. Private pool - total privacy at the pool area with a 9M x 5M pool overlooking the mountains - a perfect place to forget the world. NB - this is unsuitable for very small children/elderly and infirm due to terraced nature of garden and uneven land. NB - The owner lives on site but fully respects privacy of guests and the pool area has been designed to ensure guests are not overlooked at all. A little about the area: The market town of Castelnuovo with its famous Thursday morning market, and various bars and restaurants is only a 20 minute drive too. The real beauty of this area however is the stunning scenery and hundreds of beautiful hilltop villages to explore….. Perfect for walkers, this property is within walking distance of the most famous Mountain Peak in the area - Pania della Croce. Perfect place to relax with friends or family The main house and the cottage have everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The swimming pool is the perfect place to relax. The place has almost total privacy but is just 300 meters from the village. The views to surrounding mountains and the valley are spectacular. 15 min away in Galicano is the huge Conad Super Store where you will find everything you need. The owner Giancarlo is very friendly and helpful. The only restaurant in the village 'Il Totto' has good food for a reasonable prize. We really liked to stay there. The main farmhouse and the cottage are both well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool was a godsend on especially hot days, especially for the children, who spent hours playing Marco Polo and other water games well into the evening. Our host was extremely helpful and was a walking encyclopedia of information about the surrounding areas, too. We were a party of eleven, ages 8 to 73\. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, obwohl er uns bei der Begrüßung sehr verärgert hat (er hat sich darüber beschwert, dass wir mit einem kleinen Hund angereist sind, obwohl dies möglich war und wir extra dafür bezahlt hatten). Die Putzfrauen sollten sich mehr Mühe geben, da es unsauber war. Nachdem wir dies gemeldet hatten, wurde das Haus noch einmal gründlich gereinigt. Jeder, der dorthin fährt, sollte wissen, dass man dort Skorpione treffen kann. Wir wussten das nicht und waren ein wenig erschrocken, als wir einen im Haus sahen. Da wir im Berufsleben sehr angespannt sind war die Unterkunft für uns genau Richtig schön gelegen, kein Lärm und der Vermieter sehr nett. Im Dorf zu Fuß zu erreichen 2 Restaurants. Da wir auch öfters in Südtirol sind ist die Fahrt zum Objekt auch kein Problem es ist eine Bergstrasse die an manchen Stellen auch ein bisschen Enger ist. Von dort ist mann in ca 20.Minuten in einem großen Einkaufszentrum und bis Lucca ca 1 Stunde und bis Pisa ca 1,5 Stunden , eine schöne Pool Anlage mit Liegen zum Entspannen ##### Ralf G. Es wurde einst sehr authentisch und mit viel Liebe zum Detail restauriert und eingerichtet. Leider nagt sichtbar der Zahn der Zeit an vielen Stellen in und am Haus. Die Anreise erfolgt über die letzten 10 Kilometer auf einer kurvenreichen, schmalen Bergstraße, was bei jeder Fahrt zum Einkaufen (es gibt weder Bäcker noch Lebensmittelladen im Ort) eine halbe Stunde Zeit beansprucht. Giancarlo, der Vermieter, wohnt mit auf dem Grundstück und ist ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Måske ikke egnet til småbørn, da grunden er meget ujævn. Værten var meget hjælpsom og blandt andet sørgede han restaurationsreserveringer for os. ##### Finn M.
