It's a first floor flat for up to 6 guests, accessed via external stone steps up to the stable front door. Two doubles and one twin bedroom, plus cot, and pets welcome. Main Description Little Hanger is a warm, cosy flat within easy walking distance of village amenities, as well as beautiful coastal, woodland and moorland walks from the door. Sleeps up to 6 guests One king-size double bedroom, with en-suite shower room One double bedroom, with Juliette balcony One twin bedroom, plus cot available Sitting room with wood-burner (logs provided) Kitchen-dining area with table and chairs to seat up to six Bathroom with walk in shower, toilet and hand basin Large sliding patio doors give access to Little Hanger's own private garden on the same level Terrace with barbecue area, a table and chairs and an area of lawn Dogs welcome (maximum of one large or two small dogs per booking, for £20 ) Separate laundry room on the ground floor below, complete with washing machine, tumble dryer with room to store your bicycles, prams and pushchairs Bed linen and towels provided Heating, electricity and wifi included Arrive from 4 pm Depart by 10 am Formerly the coach house and stable block for the main house next door, Little Hanger is reached by its own flight of external stone steps up to the first floor. The ground floor is converted to a laundry room and storage, space for bikes, prams and pushchairs if required. The apartment has three bedrooms, one en suite with a king sized bed and one double bedroom with a Juliet balcony, plus a twin bedroom and cot on request. The sitting room has patio doors which opens onto a private terrace. The owner lives in the property next door and the grounds amount to approx 5 acres of gardens and woodland, including an all-weather tennis court for guest to use, making it a quiet spot for a relaxing break on Exmoor, yet within 10 minute walk to the village with it's pubs and shops. Indoor Description Little Hanger kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, under-counter fridge with small freezer, dishwasher, kettle, and toaster. The washing machine, tumble drier and freezer located in the laundry on the ground level, accessed externally. There is a TV in the sitting room area, and wifi is available. Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Logs are provided for use in the wood-burner in the living room. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience. Dogs are welcome (maximum of 2 dogs per booking), for a supplement of £20\. Please do not leave your dog/s alone in the property at any time or allow them on the furniture or in the bedrooms. Outdoor Description The private enclosed garden with a terrace and barbecue area (bring your own charcoal) is accessed via patio doors from the living area. There is an all-weather tennis court within the grounds for guests to use which is just a short distance away. Little Hanger is a quiet location, you can hear the sounds of the surf on the shingle ridge, and the occasional call from a seagull, buzzard, cow or sheep. It is the ideal place for those wanting to get away from it all and relax and explore the beautiful Exmoor countryside. The owners live in the property next door, and both are set within approx 5 acres of gardens and woodlands, yet just a few minutes walk into the village where you'll find a selection of pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. Parking The parking area for guests will be found about 80 yards up the drive on the left. Opposite the stable block where Little Hanger is. Pets Description Dogs welcome (maximum of one large or two small dogs per booking) for £20 each Restricted mobility The outside flight of steps are unavoidable. Inside there are three steps down (with a hand rail) to the bedroom area. Exit in case of emergency This has not been completed by the owner. Christmas / New Year This has not been completed by the owner. The region Porlock is a historic village on the edge of Exmoor National Park in Somerset, in a sheltered vale between the moor and the Bristol Channel coast. Its heritage stretches back to Saxon times. The meandering High Street is lined with independent shops, including a traditional butcher, chemist, hardware shop, post office, two convenience stores, art galleries, a chocolate shop, and a cash machine. Most shops keep hours of 9am to 5pm, often extending during the summer season. The harbour hamlet of Porlock Weir is approximately one mile to the west and makes a lovely walk or a short drive. There you will find a 15th-century tidal harbour, a pub, restaurants, cafes, and independent shops and galleries. Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 6 miles away. Here you will find larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrisons on the outskirts with longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, and a range of other shops.
