When we entrance to the hotel was blocked with a rope and they did not answer the phone. There was noone to get any information, we did not get a cancellation or a notification. We were left in the typhoon with nowhere to go and struggled to find anything for hours during when the weather got really bad. We had to drive under fallen trees, get out of the car to pull branches off road and hide in someone’s garage in our car because of this hotel’s irresponsible act. They left us in a life threatening situation which is unacceptable. Hotels.com representatives did their best to help us over the phone while we were looking for another place. It’s a wooden cabin in the hills. Somewhat rustic, laid back. The place is clean and very lovely to stay. Sleeping in the attic was interesting. Had wonderful time using the outdoor grill and also hotpot. Nice indoor private Onsen. The outdoor public onsen is pretty and relaxing to be in. The lady that serves us is friendly and cheerful. Has private onsen which is very nice and relaxing. You will need a car to get here. There was a supermarket 20 minutes away. You will need your own food as it’s in the middle of no where- but that’s what staying in the mountains is all about!! The owner has a google translator to help with check in.
