This Cottage sleeps two in one bedroom with a queen bed, full bath with stand up shower, and kitchen stocked with all the basics. The Living Room has a loveseat and dining area for two with a smart tv that is logged into Netflix. The covered porch wraps two sides of the Cottage and offers a view of the White River in Summer and mo This Cottage sleeps two in one bedroom with a queen bed, full bath with stand up shower, and kitchen stocked with all the basics. The Living Room has a loveseat and dining area for two with a smart tv that is logged into Netflix. The covered porch wraps two sides of the Cottage and offers a view of the White River in Summer and more sweeping views when the leaves fall in the colder months. There is no direct access to the River, but this property is less than 5 minutes from River Access and 7 minutes to Sylamore Creek Access. There is a Washer/Dryer in the cottage. Trains\~ The Cottage sits atop a bluff that overlooks the White River. On the banks of the river are train tracks. The train comes by daily and, though brief, is heard from the area though it remains mostly quiet in the Cottage. This Cottage is in a somewhat remote location and GPS or other mapping apps will not work in locating it, nor is the Address accurate. You can only reach this property with the driving directions provided before arrival. The Little Fox sits on a bluff overlooking the White River, but does not have direct river access. Public river access is available at the boat launch just 5 minutes away. It's also important to note that the cabin is accessed by a gravel road that can be bumpy in spots and may not be suitable for vehicles with very low clearance. It's not accessible by motorcycle. Rental Rules \~Primary guest must be age 25 or older \~Check in is 4:00 PM-10PM / Check out is 11:00 AM \~No Smoking in or near the Cabin \~Dogs are allowed, with $50 Pet Fee (2 dogs max, rules apply) \~No loud noise or parties \~Absolutely no UTV's, ATV’s, Trailers, or Campers allowed \~Number of guests cannot exceed the maximum occupancy as stated in the listing \~It should be noted that our properties are located in a rural and, in some cases, remote area of the Ozarks, where you will find many different forms of wildlife. Raccoons, deer, mice, snakes, eagles, wild hogs, black bear, skunks, and opossums are common, and may be a nuisance at certain times of the year. Other pests such as ants, wasps, mosquitos, spiders, bees, flies, and gnats also live nearby. Each property has a regular/quarterly pest control device, but we cannot guarantee against Guests seeing any animals or pests during their stay and no refunds will be made for this. Pet Rules: \*Please clean up after your dog. \*Please do not allow your dog to bark excessively or to roam onto neighboring properties. Many of our homes are located near residential neighborhoods, and we must respect the comfort and privacy of those residents. Complaints may lead to eviction without refund. \*Please do not allow dogs on furniture or beds. It is also helpful to bring something (bed, blanket, etc.) on which you know your pet will be comfortable sleeping. Extra cleaning fees will be charged for furniture, blankets, comforters, etc. that have pet hair left behind. \*Please don’t leave your dog unattended for long periods of time. A crate is ideal for those situations in which you must leave. The cottage was perfect for two, all the amenities as listed. We were the only ones in the area, as there's other cottages on the property. We had to use the dual a/c- heaters in the living area & bedroom due to cool weather; they both have remote controls for easy use. Pay heed to the rocky road from the highway to the cottage; not meant for a low lying car! Signage at the highway for the turn off road could be better; look for mailbox with fish plus there's a cemetery sign as well. Definitely arrive in daytime, not dark as it is pitch black at night; its very remote. About 1/2 way on road, theres a dead end sign, but keep going; as soon you'll see Fireside Retreat sign alongside the road; each cottage has its own little sign posted on a tree or pole to direct you. Theres train tracks along the river with occasional train; we had 2 come by in the daytime during our stay. We truly enjoyed our quiet, secluded stay! ##### Vicki W. The road getting in/out was rough and I bottomed out in my car, so go very slow. Watch out for the trees when backing out cause we backed into one. We loved the deck and wanted to get off the grid for a few days, so it was perfect for us. The interent is spotty so cell phone/Internet service will be interrupted. There were plenty of towels and the bed was firm, but comfortable. There is so much to do in nature in this area, so highly recommend it. ##### Nisha L. The cabin was cozy and intimate, well-stocked with what we needed for our stay. The views were spectacular. It is on the same property as two other cabins but the other guest were quiet and we really didn’t see them much. It’s so peaceful, the porch is perfect for drinking coffee in the morning. The inside is perfect for a couple and had everything we needed. We visited town every day, it’s only about 15mins from the cabin. It’s also a short drive from Blanchard Springs which is absolutely beautiful. We plan to return in the spring with my husbands family and rent all three cabins. ##### Brittney D. The cell service is limited (due to location, not due to owner), but the wifi was sufficient for using phones in down-time. The nearby river is pretty cold, but the canoeing was very fun at the local retreat. Would rec for anyone wanting a small cabin to have a getaway in to disconnect! Not good for people that need to be connected to calls/texts 24/7, unless you can shift to email/imessage/social media while you're there. ##### Rachel B.
