Loch Nez | A-Frame Retreat with Dock on Upper Silver Lake

A private lakefront home on Upper Silver Lake is a true getaway! This vacation rental offers its own private sandy beach in Arrowhead Bay and includes its own private dock! Wonderful fishing right off the dock and in the entire Upper Silver Lake. The lake is a private all-sports lake. Guest can bring their own power boat or jet-skis and use the lake during their stay (Lake Rules and hours apply). There is a paddle boat and two kayaks at the property for guests to enjoy. This home is only minutes away from Silver Lake Sand Dunes!

An A-frame style home that has been completely remodeled offers occupancy of 8 in three bedrooms. Bedroom one on the main floor has a queen bed. Bedroom two, also on the main, offers a full bed and two additional twin beds. Bedroom three is the entire loft in upstairs and offers a king bed. Great outdoor area with a large deck, charcoal grill, and fire pit. This is not a pet-friendly property.

Silver Lake is located in Mears, Michigan, and offers shorelines along Lake Michigan and Silver Lake. While vacationing here you won't want to miss out on the experiences that the massive Silver Lake Sand Dunes have to offer. Rent a jeep of your own or head over to Mac Wood's Dune Rides for an adventurous ride on the sand dunes. Nearby is the Hart-Montague Bicycle Trail which will take you along 22.5 miles of scenic routes. The quaint little town of Pentwater is located just north of the Silver Lake area. Pentwater is the epitome of small-town charm with its shops, food, and ice cream. Don't forget to grab breakfast at Cherry Point, where they offer homemade donuts and treats daily. For dinner, spend an evening at Golden Sands, a small, family-owned restaurant and golf course that will leave a lasting impression. Plan on spending a day with your family at Michigan's Adventure for a day of action and excitement. Peaceful nook on an all-sports lake

We loved being tucked at the end of a little bend in the lake! It stayed peaceful even with boats out on the water. The deck was our favorite hangout spot, and the views from the upstairs bedroom were beautiful. Just a heads-up: the bedroom has a glass door, so privacy is limited and the morning sun comes in bright and early. It didn’t bother us, but it’s worth knowing. The location was perfect for exploring Upper Silver Lake, Big Silver Lake, Lake Michigan, and the sand dunes. Communication with the property managers was clear and easy throughout.

We had a nice stay at Loch Nez. Beautiful lake for all types of boating. It was nice to have the canoes and paddle boat. We played games on the large yard. We were worried about neighbors bc of other reviews, but one house looks empty and the other two are rentals. driveway was big enough for 4-6 cars. Inside the shared spaces were great. The only draw back is the bedrooms are hot in the summer and the beds weren't very comfortable. There needs to be fans in the rooms or better ventilation. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely home on Silver Lake close to Lake Michigan and the dunes. The kids had a great time with the paddle boat and watching the fish at the end of the dock.A great vacation!

Great stay!

This home was comfortable, cozy and quiet; close to everything we wanted to see in the area. Loved the loft with the king sized bed and private half bath. As another reviewer mentioned, we would have liked some drawers or even hooks in the loft for clothes and towels. We found it clean and stocked with the essentials. Thank you!

Beautiful home right on the lake

Very nice home the location on the lake was amazing especially with the kayaks and the paddleboat. The kids cut plenty of fish right off the deck and the house was perfect in every way.

Cozy house

We had alot of fun while staying at Loch Nez on our summer vacation for 5 nights in July 2024. The house is very cute and is located close to Macs Dune Rides as well as the sand dunes and light house. Pros: Property is lakefront and comes complete with a paddle boat and 2 kayaks. There is also a fire pit, and corn hole game. A major plus is the full size washer and dryer in the basement. Cons: The next door neighbor was very annoyed while we chopped our fire wood into smaller pieces at 8pm. Also, the mattress in the bedroom on the main floor (queen bed) is not comfortable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Loch Nez, and would book again! Thank you for sharing your lovely house with us!

Cozy spot on lake

The house was an overall great spot on upper Silverlake perfect sunset view and spacious deck, small sandy beach and a nice fire pit. The house was nice but the lower level was not clean I’m assuming from previous guests and there were spiders everywhere the property management should have a company taking care of that. We enjoyed our stay for the most part especially swimming in the lake and using the paddle boat. Kids enjoyed playing in the sand. The beds were all comfortable which is a plus and we had everything needed for our stay as far as kitchen/bathroom etc. The only negative was the neighbor across the street in the newer white home, he was awful. He came over several times while we were trying to enjoy ourselves to let us know he was an owner and not a renter and also that many neighbors are not happy that there are people renting. Every time we came and went from the house he sat out on the porch and watched us, it made our stay a bit uncomfortable. Other than that it was a cozy spot on the lake.

Pretty view on private lake

This is a great option if you want lakefront but don't want to pay for Silver or there isn't availability. The only con is there is a lakefront association and some of the neighbors aren't too pleased that there are renters, but they are friendly if you are respectful. There is an association boat launch and there are kayaks in the basement and a paddle boat! Not a great option for partiers and groups as there is limited parking. Wonderful for families!

Lake vacation

Property was great. Plenty of sleeping spaces. Nice sandy beach with kayaks to use. Really close to Sand dunes and lake michigan. Would stay again. Could use some places to put our clothes since we stayed 3 nights.
