"Language barrier between ourselves and the host nothing a translation app couldn’t help with and she was ever so patient! Apartment was lovely and spacious, not too far of a walk from the beachfront with restaurants. Hidden €1.50 tourist tax per guest per night- but couldn’t go wrong with the pricing overall especially with some complementary breakfast.."

"I tried booking here twice - once when I flew in and again when I flew out of Catania. Big mistake. Both times the booking was automatically accepted only to be later cancelled. The first time it was cancelled with a couple of days notice (due to a double booking) so we were able to find another accommodation no problem. But the second time it was cancelled within 3 hrs of our check-in time and ONLY after I contacted VRBO customer service because my message to the host had gone completely...

"The house was more rustic than expected, and it would have been nice to know a caretaker liver on site. Not a problem, but it would have been nice to know. View of Mt. Etna was stunning, and the pool was maintained well. Surrounding area was a bit intimidating, and the entrance gates took some work. But overall, a nice place and very attentive hosts."

"We were perfectly situated to get to Taormina center. Everything in Casa Florio worked well with extras such as a bottle of wine and plenty of Nespresso capsules for the machine! The spiral staircase looks daunting but functions well. Luckily the bathroom is also upstairs with the bedroom so there were no trips down in the dark. There are two air conditioner units; we could use just what we needed where we needed and it was appreciated to keep the upstairs bedroom cool for sleeping. Genius...

"We stayed at Casa Spisone with our family of 6. The house is in a great location, walk to the beach, mini market and Taormina cable car. We spent most of our time at Mazarro beach which is sandy and has a small public area. The house was great for the family with two bedrooms downstairs, although you walk through one to get to the other. Carparking was a bonus and we used the outdoor patio a lot. "This apartment is a bit out of town but has amazing views and is right on a cheap bus route. There is a lovely bakery a short walk away and we ate out on the terrace under the orange tree watching the world go by and the cruise liners in the bay.The air conditioning works well and is really quiet. Some of the furnishings are a little tired but we found the price good value, excellent bathrooms and shower. The owner was super helpful and quick to respond. "The perfect place to totally chill and unwind, which was just what we needed. Lovely characterful farmhouse, fab location, close to Taormina, the most beautiful town ever! Loved the horses who came to greet us each morning and the cats who visited us. Mimmo was the perfect host, there when we needed, and even brought us vegan cookies, which was such a lovely gesture and much appreciated! We stayed for a week but would love to return and stay longer!"

"We had a lovely 10 days in your clean, spacious villa. Perfect for a family of two adults and two teenagers looking to relax and explore the beautiful island of Sicily. We loved the 4x4 tour of etna you organised for us and we explored the local towns and villages. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the food good and inexpensive. The Lido, just across the road was very welcoming and a great place to swim though the fantastic villa garden was also well used. Dinner on the roof terrace...

"Excellent stay in this great country house surrounded by citrus trees. The house has two large bedrooms, a comfortable bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen / dining area. Views from the large terrace on Mt Etna and on the sea from the front side are priceless. A car is indispensable. Easy to reach by country roads not far from Messina / Catania autostrada. Mario and Angela are wonderful hosts."
