This 2,700 square foot house sleeps eight, with two king beds, one queen, two twins and three bathrooms. It also comes with a two-car garage. The waterways converge behind the patio, creating a vast expanse of still blue water lined with palm trees. It’s difficult to imagine a better place to take in the view than floating in the heated pool at the edge of the patio, or enjoying a poolside barbeque you cook up on the gas grill. Does your bucket list include reclining in a hot tub with a tropical blended drink as the setting sun casts palm tree shadows on the still water below? Then check it off because this will become your nightly ritual. The southeast exposure means all-day sun. You’ll never want to go inside, and the pool area is furnished accordingly, with tables and chairs and sun loungers spread throughout the patio, creating your own tropical resort. There’s even a table on the wooden dock. You won’t be sitting there long before you spot a passing dolphin or manatee. But when you do go inside, you’ll never want to come out. Floor-to-ceiling windows brighten the rooms with natural light. Shelves of ceramic sculptures fill arched wall cutouts above the modern furnishings. The tree-lined water is the constant backdrop as you entertain in the living room or prepare meals in a gourmet kitchen that features modern appliances and cookware and an island with two levels of granite countertops. The master suite is designed with hard wood flooring and sliding door access to the patio. The ensuite bathroom comes with a walk-in shower and bathtub beside a French window overlooking thick clusters of palms. This house is filled with amenities like air conditioning and heating, ceiling fans, free wi-fi, cable, televisions in all the bedrooms and living room, a Sonos sound system and a washer and dryer. The house also comes with bicycles, kayaks, beach towels, beach cart, beach chairs, cooler and umbrella. Words really can’t do the experience justice. Neither can photos. Upon arrival the air conditioning was not working :( it was 89 degrees in the house. Made a call to the after hours number, after a few circuit breaker switches the unit gimped along with the temp dropping to 80 for the night ..ugh! The next day they had coolie electric out and the system ran fine for the rest of The week. The place was stocked well with kitchen amenities and towels, just didn’t read the part where “all linens and towels need to be cleaned except for Last day linens”. With an Early departure, I spent my last night doing laundry with dryer that took hours to dry towels...not happy I didn’t know that part until they messaged me the day before departure:( They house had plenty of bikes and the kayaks were great for exploring the canal. All in all, the house worked for us and the price was right. May explore other homes they have offered in the future just to try something new. I will Also do a better job at my homework when I rent to make sure I know “all” the renter expectations so I’m not surprised at the end of the the trip with household tasks. The dock provided us with the ability to fish and sun ourselves. The numerous bikes allowed others to go to the beach and the kayaks gave us time to explore the inland waterways. Oh and there’s a pool with a hot tub built in. Andrew our property manager was in contact with us throughout our stay. Will definitely return for future stays. ##### john s.
