The property was very well maintained. All the staff and neighbors were very helpful and kind. The staff was very attentive and informative of the surrounding area.

Overall, this Holiday Inn Express provided an adequate place for an overnight stay. Positives were clean linens and bathroom, several decent warm breakfast options, and a pleasant check out experience. Detractors from our visit included an overworked, not particularly friendly person at the desk for check in, absolutely filthy floors everywhere (entryway, interior floors, elevator, room floor), and a broken waffle maker and coffee makers that worked and then didn't. When we travel, we always look for things to compliment, but the negatives above cause me to wonder if they really do not see the glaring deficiencies or are simply understaffed to correct them. Unfortunately options are limited in this part of Vermont, but we have decided that the next time we travel to Canada through Vermont we will stay in Burlington which offers more choices.

The check‑in staff were surprisingly unprofessional. They seemed disorganized, uninterested, and made no effort to be welcoming. I waited far longer than reasonable, only to be met with curt responses and zero acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Not the level of service you’d expect from a hotel. The room was a major disappointment — far smaller than advertised and completely impractical for a business stay. There was no desk, nowhere to work, and barely enough space to move around. Combined with the poor check‑in experience, this stay fell well below expectations.

The staff at the spa, pool and restaurant were great. The shower in our room was broken and this was only discovered on the morning that we were set to check out (this was a one night stay). When front desk staff were notified nothing was offered (not even an apology for the inconvenience) to decrease the impact of the broken shower other than to send maintenance to the room to fix it. Again, this was hours before we were set to check out and we had a spa treatment so opted to not wait for the hotel room shower to be fixed and used the spa showers instead. While overall our stay was relaxing the broken shower was a challenge not readily addressed by front desk.
