We see there two nights and didn’t see the owners or any staff while we were there, this seemed unusual. When we left we had to leave the key in an unlocked box. People were trying to access the office for change for washing machines. I would have liked to ask if there was a hair dryer I could borrow no one available. A heat pump in the water heater right outside the window sounded like a generator ( window was closed). The area gets very cold but the unit has an oil heater to help with that. I'd totally stay there again next time I'm up in Mapleton. The only thing I was worried about was that the locks on my unit were a bit fiddly. We used our stay in Mapelton as a ‘base camp’ to explore the towns in the Blackall Mountain Range. Having a little cabin with a kitchen was a definite plus. WiFi was fine. Amenities were fine. Accommodations were close to each other, but the holiday park was very quiet. The pool was shallow, too shallow to swim in, more appropriate for small children. The bathroom sinks and bathrooms were a little run down.
