Welcome to Jungle Roost! Enjoy your morning coffee on the wraparound deck, watching monkeys foraging and making their way across the treetops. This 2,500 ft2 home has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms and is fully and comfortably furnished. It has floor-to-ceiling windows with unobstructed views designed to bring the outside into the open and welcoming interior. This unique home's architectural design includes numerous sliding glass doors that open to allow breezes through the house. There are ceiling fans and AC throughout the house. The ground level has ample parking, and a laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer. The main level includes a spacious great room, fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar/island, deck surrounding the living area, and bathroom. Also, you can admire the wide outdoor space and jungle garden as a little piece of paradise from over 2,000 ft2 pool deck. The deck is partially covered by a large gazebo, organized with a dining table, and sun lounges. Enjoy your outdoor jungle life while using the outdoor grill kitchen, serviced with an extra half-bathroom and a hidden shower. Indulge yourself in the gorgeous 10-meter swimming pool featured with a lovely waterfall. Walk up one level to the expansive master bedroom with two queen-sized beds, sliding doors to the wraparound deck, and massive windows for unobstructed views of the canopy wildlife. This level also has a full bathroom. Walk up to another level to the fourth floor where there are two beautifully decorated bedrooms with king-size beds and a full bathroom. Both bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors on two walls providing access to the wraparound deck where there is a large outdoor chesterfield for quiet reading or siestas. Don’t be surprised if a monkey (or 10!) sneaks past. Stay still, and they will amble by looking to jump from the balcony to the nearest tree. You will be tempted to feed them, but please refrain – there is plenty of healthy food in the jungle. The nearby beach is gorgeous and quiet (half a mile - 10/15 minutes walking distance). If you are in the mood for more people, funky bars, good restaurants, surf schools, groceries parasailing and fun shopping, just stroll 15 or 20 minutes along the white sand to Manuel Antonio. We follow the COVID-19 heath and safety protocols, and we have two different COVID testing facilities within 10 minutes of the house. Ismael est un hote formidable. La maison est magnifique,confortable et tres bien équipée. Les plages aux alentours sont tres belles et accessibles à pied pour des gens en bonne condition physique. The location is perfect for walking to Manual Antonio shops (it is uphill), the pool was wonderful, and the house had absolutely everything we needed (no need to buy toilet paper, trash bags, soap, or anything like that). The hosts are amazing. They will reach out to help you plan activities and give you honest advice about what to do, where to eat, where you need a guide, etc. Their recommendations were spot on for everything. We chose Jungle Roost based on the pictures and description but primarily because of the incredible reviews from prior travelers. Everything was fantastic. The property was better experienced than the pictures could even provide. The outdoor space (garden, pool and patio) was where we spent all of our time when on the property. We were visited by or saw two kinds of monkeys, a sloth, toucans and iguanas. I highly recommend the personal chef service. It was such a special meal to enjoy such a special place. The A/C was great as were the bathrooms/showers. The beds were very comfortable and everything we could possibly want was provided. If we ever have the opportunity to return, we would certainly come here. Ishmael made our stay effortless. He provided incredible service and recommendations. Anything we could possibly want or need, he provided as if we were family. The house is better than the photos. The location is perfect for a beautiful beach, jungle vacation. The access to restaurants, groceries, pharmacies, yoga studio was perfect. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies. Beds were very comfortable and large. The house and pool area was very private and an amazing vantage point for wildlife. We sat in the pool and watched a sloth in a tree and monkey's swing in the trees and the yard. You do have to be able to go up stairs and walk uphill to get to the beaches and the businesses, but that was a good counterbalance to the food and drink we consumed. Ismael was a wonderful host. All his recommendations were spot on. We ended up hanging at the house and walking to the close beach for most of the vacation. We had planned on driving to different locations, but it was so beautiful and peaceful there, we just stayed. The park was great, but we saw more wildlife from our back yard. We will be back and have great memories. To relax, decompress and rejuvenate, it's perfect. ##### uldine c. Relaxing in the beautiful pool while troops of howlers, capuchins, and squirrel monkeys pass by is the ultimate immersion into the beauty that is CR. We also spotted sloths (one with a baby!), agoutis, an anteater, iguanas, cane toads, Motmots and other beautiful birds right from Jungle Roost. We had so much time to really observe the animals in their natural habitat over several days. We heard Scarlett macaws and yellow throated toucans from the property and had a chance to see them up close at the top of the hill (near the red door entrance up top).Ismael is the epitome of a gracious host. He was so welcoming and gave us some wonderful restaurant and activity recommendations. He was always quickly responsive to any questions we had. Jungle Roost is conveniently located within walking distance of great restaurants, coffee shops, and souvenir shops.The beach (Playa Espadilla) was about a 10 minute walk down the hill (1/2 mile). The waves were perfect for our 13 year old and 11 year old twins. Fun bodysurfing location and a simply gorgeous view. We rented a car (4x4 is the way to go in this area) and were close enough to many attractions that were within 1/2-1 hour drive (Nauyaca Falls, Uvita, Rainmaker, Manuel Antonio Park, Kids Saving the Rainforest)We had such a lovely week all around.Overall, Jungle Roost was the perfect place for a family getaway. Amazing setting, great location, and a warm, attentive host. The main reason was because of the fabulous house and host. Ismael went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. He answered all of our questions, helped arrange excursions (and rearrange them when we wanted to do something different). He greeted us at the house upon arrival to show us around. Beyond that, he was consistently available by phone to answer any questions we had and to give recommendations for activities/dinners/etc. The house was beautiful! The outdoor area amazing and very roomy. We enjoyed swimming in the pool each afternoon and exploring the garden area. We also saw three types of monkeys from our patio (including daily visits from adorable squirrel monkeys). We also saw agoutis and a variety of birds each day. The house felt very secluded and private, but it was actually very close to town. Walkable to the beach and many area restaurants. The house included all the accommodations we could need. Stop scrolling, this is it. The house is in great condition and the grounds are stunning. We saw all the wildlife we came to see in Costa Rica sitting in the backyard.. monkeys, toucans, and even capybara-looking animals. The host, Ismael, was absolutely incredible. We had a couple snags in our travel plans getting down there (airplane delays) and Ismael handled re-arranging our car rental and other things we had planned. I have never had better service at a VRBO. I would absolutely stay here again! And get a 4x4, all wheel drive rental-you’ll need it in this area. ##### Calle M.
