Mandalay State Beach Tours and Activities

Clean, spacious, newly renovated rooms. Friendly staff really enjoyed my stay!!!

Very nice stay. Extremely comfortable, clean, quiet. The only complaint was the jacuzzi didn’t work all that well- it was hot but jets weren’t working. The staff was very nice, helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

The rooms that are ocean view don't exactly face the ocean. When we arrived, they had to explain the difference between oceanfront and ocean view rooms. There are no rooms that actually face the ocean. Rather, the front of the building faces the ocean, but the sides face the parking lot or a garage. If you want to look at the ocean, you need to go out onto the balcony and look down the coast. I feel like the pictures of the place on Expedia are a bit misleading about this. However, the place is directly on the ocean. I walked the pier (free) and the beach each day and it was beautiful. Another challenge with this hotel is that a train apparently runs past regularly day and night. It was extremely loud!!!! I was worried I wouldn't sleep because it was so loud, but my husband and I are heavy enough sleepers, so it didn't keep us up or wake us. Anyone who isn't will not be able to tolerate staying here.
