brilliant place. staff were lovely, very friendly. i needed vegan options for breakfast and they were more than happy to accommodate. great location and easy parking behind the pub. would definitely stay again

Everything was excellent! The staff were all very pleasant & helpful. Food very good, breakfast set us up for the rest of the day! Ideal base for visiting the places we planned to go!

Very helpful hosts. Room was lovely and well equipped. Both dinner and breakfast were very nice and staff very allergy aware and helpful to a coeliac.

We decide to stay at Molton, not York due to the relatively higher price of the York hotel and our trip plan. It proves to be a good choice. The property located in a small and quiet town with about 10-15 minutes walk to the railway station. It may look normal from outside but when you step in, you would be impressed by the warm and cozy atmosphere. The first floor is the restaurant and a bar, with so many selections. The room was super clean and you can tell everything was so well maintained. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We like this place!

Room 4 was a good size and interesting in a good colour choice. Mine Hosts were very friendly and helpful. A good hot breakfast. Pub shut at normal time.

Hidden gem! Andy and Wendy were fab hosts. The room was spotless and couldn’t fault anything. Breakfast was amazing and ordered the night before so was served immediately, tasted amazing and beautifully presented. As Arnie would say We’ll be back Top marks

We have just had a perfect stay at the Union Inn and Restaurant. After a warm welcome we were shown to our room which was immaculate, well decorated and equipped with lots of little extras. The first night we stayed there for dinner which was delicious, all home cooked and we got "proper" chips. Breakfast was also amazing with plenty of choice, cooked to order and served piping hot. The location is within walking distance of Malton, the train station and the bus station giving access to Whitby, Scarborough, York and Pickering. Thank you to Andy and Wendy, nothing was too much trouble, we would definitely return and will recommend to family and friends.

The Union Inn is a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. All the accommodation has been recently updated and our bedroom was well equipped with complimentary toiletries etc, plus tea, coffee and bottled water. We didn't dine there but the food looked really nice and was great value. As to the inclusive breakfast, it was excellent and substantial. Andy and Wendy are doing a fantastic job on developing this place and couldn't be better hosts. Location is great just 10mins walk from the centre of Malton. Only negative was that the room was very warm with only one small opening window. A fan was provided to help with cooling and ventilation but wasn't ideal. We would defintely stay hare again and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the area

We entered the front and were met with a warm welcome at the bar. The place had a warm welcoming feel to it too. Once checked in we were taken to our room. The room was lovely. The bedroom was comfortable, clean and spacious. My wife and I immediately felt at home. The en-suite was also very clean and the shower was amazing. Was nice to freshen up after a long journey. There is a large car park at the rear and a lovely beer garden too. Slept well - beds were really comfy. As for breakfast - wow - certainly set us up for the day - lovely quality food ( and plentiful) cooked to perfection. As for the staff / management - all I can say is ‘Thankyou’ we were made to feel genuinely welcomed by everyone - they were so kind and couldn’t do enough for us. It was clear that their main concern was to ensure everything was perfect for their guests. Would we return - Absolutely . I would recommend the Union Inn without hesitation.
