The island’s tourist hub and main entry point is the southerly barangay (village) of Logon. Marvel at the vivid colors of untouched coral gardens and schools of exotic fish. Popular dive spots include Gato Island, Kemod Shoal and Lapus Lapus Island. Don’t miss the chance to swim alongside thresher sharks and manta rays at Monad Shoal.
Set out on foot and discover the secluded bays and beaches in the island’s northern section. Escape the crowds at Bantigue Cove and Guimbitayan Beach. Walk to the hilltop Malapascua Lighthouse, which affords impressive coastal views.

Reach Malapascua Island by catching a ferry from Maya, located at the northern tip of Cebu Island. January to April is peak season, when hotel and excursion prices can be higher. Typhoons are possible between May and December yet this period offers some of the best diving conditions.
