![If you are ever in Chiang Mai, Thailand, these falls are an absolutely must see. They are also known as sticky waterfalls; due to the unique limestone rocks, no algae grows on them, meaning you can quite easily walk/climb around on the falls without slipping. It is about an hour scooter ride from Chiang Mai. ## Cities near Mae Taeng

![The entrance to Chiang Dao Cave is surrounded by Buddhist symbols and crystal clear blue waters filled with rather large koi and catfish. 

The entrance fee for the caves is 40 baht, but i recommend hiring a guide with a lantern to take you a bit deeper into this amazing place. A guide currently costs 200baht (plus tip) and is worth every bit of it. Watch your head and step!
