You'll love this unique and romantic escape in the hills of southern Indiana! Located just 20 minutes from beautiful downtown Madison and Vevay. Enjoy the countryside in your very own yurt. Come relax after a hard day of shopping in downtown Madison or after a late night at Belterra casino. You will love the warm inviting boho style of decor while enjoy the beautiful sunsets from the deck. The stars look so close you could touch them from the grassy hillsides of this enchanting property.
Madison's only yurt experience is here! Come out to the country and enjoy this secluded Mongolian style home. Locted just 20 minutes to Madison and Vevay. Get away to the peace and quiet of the countryside but yet convenient enough to run into town for all of your needs.
Definition of a yurt : A traditional yurt or ger is a portable, round tent covered with skins or felt and used as a dwelling by several distinct nomadic groups in the steppes of Central Asia. The structure consists of an angled assembly or latticework of wood or bamboo for walls, a door frame, ribs, and a wheel possibly steam-bent. 
My yurt is a glorified tent with all the amenities of a home bathroom, kitchen, running water, and electricity but still a tent so please be aware you will be seeing all the things you see while you're camping on the countryside. There are creatures of all types in or around the yurt. 🦟🐛🐜🦨🐇🐍🦌🦝🦗🐝🐞🦋SO PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE TYPE OF STRUCTURE YOU ARE RENTING!!
If you can not handle bugs or others creatures of nature this is not the place for you.
Newest addition to your yurt experience is your very own goats to pet and love! Blaze and Taffy are always ready for treats and pets!

The hot tub did not work, yard need mowed and weeds everywhere. Could not use grill to many weeds around it. Outside chairs were to dirty to sit in. Kitchen/Pots/Pans were filthy. I had to scrub pans before using and still did not come clean. Oven inside had grease an inch thick. Everything was dusty. I have a sinus infection now because of it. They did have bday decorations up and left a bottle of wine and bed was comfy but comforter was all torn. Bathroom was clean. When we texted the host about hot tub said they could come by at 9:30 at night to look at it if we couldnt figure it out and never heard from them. Next day when we told them we were checking out and told them the hot tub was still not working they said thanks for staying and safe travels. Did not acknowledge anything about hot tub. Loved the goats and the yurt itself but very bad up keep and advertising on what is really working and there that is usable. Also hope its not related but I have tested positive for Covid since being back from vacation. Tina Cavanagh stayed 7-25 to 7-27-2025

One if the most relaxing vacations that I have ever had. Very private, quiet and no traffic. The bed was very comfortable the space of the entire yurt was amazing. My little dogs loved the goats, and running lease free. We were not looking forward to leaving. The host is wonderful too!! We highly recommend staying here!!

Great communication. Lovely property and accommodations. Everything you would need for an unplugged getaway. Just an hour from the Ark Encounter and The Creation Museum. We really enjoyed the goats, too!

Fall Break

Better than we expected! Lots of land for the kids to explore. The goats were so fun to watch. Fishing at the pond was a nice surprise. We loved the bottle of wine waiting for us! It was such a unique getaway! Great family trip!

The yurt was a wonderful experience-the host was very accommodating-let our friends setup a popup camper near by, the kitchen was well equipped, plenty of basic necessities. The yurt and surrounding property could use some TLC, regardless we had a good time and would recommend

Wonderful Weekend Escape

Our 3 generational group loved our stay at the yurt! Super cute and clean place full of welcoming, hospitable touches. Our tween and 3rd grader loved the lofted area with the skylight dome - we had a beautiful clear night to star gaze out of it. And the goats! So cute and fun, the kids want their own herd now (our HOA may have something to say about that :-). Close drive to Madison for poking around the Main Street shops and Clifty Falls for hiking. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something unique and memorable. It was the best kind of relaxing fun!
