"The room was awesome, directly above the sidewalk for people watching and directly on the ocean, could feel the waves crashing, just wonderful. The views are great, the salt water pool with wave crashing in, the blow hole and black sand beach 750meters to the east were fun. Nice safe little village, great inexpensive restaurants, loved the scabbard fish and Sangria."
"Super convenient for airport, beach, food and bis station for local activities and rest of island.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our room was clean and great balcony with sea view. Good buffet breakfast with a few options including cold, cooked, and sweet.
Great location, with free parking a short walk (paid parking closer by, but rarely spaces available).
New bathroom and amazing shower.
We really enjoyed our stay, highly recommended."
"Costa Linda will greet you warmly
It’s is well used but clean and comfortable
The drying area was much appreciated and the view from our balcony overlooked the sea only metres away
We ate in the alfresco dining area. The food was fresh and well cooked.
Breakfast was great and really good coffee
If I had to pick one thing I would like added it would be a fly screen so the door could be open all night to listen to the sea without mosquitoes coming in. Porto da Cruz is an absolutely wonderful...
"If you’re looking to meet great people and stay in a super welcoming environment, book here!!! We absolutely loved it. Met lots of great people, spent lots of time hanging out in the courtyard of the hostel and the 1 min walk to the beach and to Pipa (great restaurant) were highlights for sure :)"

"Saccharum hotel is a really special place. It is a small paradise that has an infinity pool with an ocean view, amazing gardens, indoor pool, great staff, and really restaurants with amazing views of the ocean. It is located very close to Calheta sandy beach. It is highly recommended if you would like to have a calm and picturesque stay in one of the most beautiful hotels in Madeira. I will definitely come back here again. "
"Calheta Beach Resort is a simple yet lovely beach property. Some reviews say ‘dated’, but I think that’s the charm of the place. Food was good, not great, but service was fantastic all across the board. Easy to get to and easy to take day trips to Porto Moniz and Funchal. I would recommend Calheta Beach. "

"Property was very nice and the staff was very helpful. Good location. Pool was nice. Breakfast was good. Only complaint is the bed was too hard for my liking."
