The house is very close to quaint Bedford and the D-Day Memorial. It is clean and well cared for. The extra amenities were appreciated and helpful. The gas fire pit was a nightly center point and the gas grill was immaculate and in excellent working condition. The hosts were gracious and very helpful. We were able to get together after several members experienced life altering health issues and it had been a number of years since we were all able to get together.This was a spiritual experience for my family. The peace, tranquility and sheer beauty of the property and the absolutely stunning views of the mountains and countryside surrounding us were above anything we could have imagined.We were blessed this weekend. Preston and Judy were super friendly and kind. The property is gorgeous! It was the perfect place to stay for us. The house had all the comforts of home. It was wonderful living in the country for a few days and taking many beautiful photos. Highly recommend! If we ever make it back to Lynchburg, we will stay here again. ##### Debbie R. The hosts are wonderful people, with whom we had the privilege of visiting with during our stay. We stayed here for our son’s graduation from Liberty University, which is a 30 minute drive from the property. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. ##### Lisa A. We were able to book this location in the nick of time and we just cant say enough good things about the location, the views and Mr. And Mrs. Layne. The farmhouse is large, well equipped and updated, with a few old fashioned touches to preserve its character. It's very peaceful with no close neighbors.The view is almost as good as being on the parkway. The parkway in this area is spectacular.
