We prefer king beds, but the queen was comfortable and more than adequate. The shopping in Lyle was very limited as were restaurants', but we found our way around quickly. The view was fabulous, the weather was perfect, and it was very close to the wedding we came to attend. Not inconvenient and a beautiful drive. Home was spotless and comfortable. Amenities were spot on and the view from the deck at sunset was spectacular and relaxing. Neighborhood was a little iffy, but neighbors were quiet and we had an enjoyable stay. Drive is steep and a little uneven but the option to park one car and offload/load from the back entry was helpful. One caution, there is a toll on the bridge from Hood River which was not a huge deal, but could get pricey depending on your use. Tip: tolls can be paid on line. The views from the deck are amazing and we hiked each day in the Columbia Review Gorge area. There are a few wine tastings close by in town and within 15 - 30 mins. as well. I'd recommend stocking up on groceries before getting into town if you plan on cooking while there. The house was extremely comfortable with everything you'd need and more.
