The staff were super friendly and ready to help, the breakfast was great with local foods and with a fantastic view of the Mekong. The room was average. Bed was old and hard. Its an inexpensive stay and you cant expect too much but the room served our needs for three nights. We had a little incident where our bathroom door became jammed. Management was contacted by the hotel staff and they wanted us to pay for a locksmith. We booked a “Luxury double room” based upon the pictures presented on the website. 90% of the pics show that the rooms are bright with windows that open to the outside. We were put into a room which is situated in the middle of the hotel. Our windows opened to the hallways only. The hallways are lit during the night and because our curtains were not blackout curtains, light shined through all night.The website states that “Blackout curtains” are provided, but they were not. There are comfortable chairs in the hallway where at the end of a day, guests would congregate and share their experiences or just to surf the web on their devices. Of course this was right outside of our window and we could hear all of the conversations or videos which at times, went into the wee hours of the morning. On our third day there I requested to be moved to another room but the staff was unable to accommodate us. The hotel is situated next to a busy restaurant and from approximately 6:00-10:30 PM the noise from dining room sounds like more of a roar due to the openness of both the restaurant and the hotel. Once again I refer back to the website where it states that the rooms are soundproof, they are not. The Staff were friendly and courteous.
