"We were only able to stay one night, but our night at the Vallombrosa vineyard was very peaceful. The hosts were very helpful and kind and were gracious to bring me some emergency supplies. Although the property lies in a beautiful setting, it’s important to note that it takes at least 30 minutes to get to Lugano and the lake by car. Was easy to take a train to the Locarno city center in under 15 minutes. Transportation is included with the Ticino pass so request it from the front desk. Recommend this property."

"An amazing view and a brilliant hotel. They gave us two connecting rooms for our family of 4 and it was a lot of room. No air conditioning which meant it was hot but they provided fans. The pizza on site was amazing for dinner that night. The drive up to it can be scary as very sharp turns and a lot of incline. Only thing that I could complain about was the breakfast as there was no options for any of us to eat. The waiter said that there was a delivery problem but it meant no croissants, no anything really apart from some old hard bread and some scrambled eggs. Was very disappointed with that."

"This was an overnight stop on our way to Italy. The hotel was very quiet despite close proximity to the motorway. The staff were really helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed. Nice views over the surrounding hills. No tea/coffee in the room but a station off reception with free water, tea and coffee. There was no breakfast in the hotel but a croissant was provided in the morning and if someone wants a larger breakfast then the buffet restaurant next to the hotel is available. Also, hotel guests receive a 20% discount on a meal there and there was a fair choice of food to suit most people. We would definitely be happy to stay there again, particularly with the cost of Swiss accommodation which can be much more expensive if you’re not planning on spending more time there"
