We are located in the mountains and roads can be slick and poorly maintained. Other Things to Note: The rental agreement will be sent to you once the reservation is accepted. Your booking is only confirmed once it is signed. Kindly complete it within 24 hours to secure your reservation. ● This property can host a maximum of 8 guests, including children and infants, per the local governing regulations. Guests are expected to register with Emerald Lakes. Wander Home will process the registration for all renters. ● Registration and/or bookings finalized less than 48 hours of arrival will include a $200 community processing charge, in accordance with community policy. This charge will be collected separately through the booking platform. Optional community amenities passes are available for purchase at the community office for an additional charge. Children 2 years old and under are free. Fees are as follows: ● 1-day pass - $20 per person ● 3-day pass - $30 per person ● 7-day pass - $50 per person Please note, these fees are not set by us as hosts. They are established by the community and apply to all guests. These charges help cover the costs of operating and maintaining the many great amenities and facilities available during your stay. Wander Home welcomes guests with fully verified profiles. Please upload your government-issued ID and payment method in your account settings, as well as send us a photo of your ID. Eligible refunds are subject to a 6% processing fee. A damage waiver fee ($40) is included for all reservations. Given the rural setting of the property, occasional sightings of ants, spiders, flying insects, and mice may occur despite our year-round pest control efforts. We strive to manage these encounters to the best of our ability, but cannot guarantee that the house will be completely pest free. NOTE: We provide enough essential items to cover stays of about 2-3 nights. If you need more supplies during your stay, you can visit one of the following nearby stores: ShopRite, Weis Market, ALDI. We do our best to ensure there is propane available for grills and/or fire pits, but cannot guarantee there will be propane for use throughout your stay. If all available tanks are empty, we ask that you refill a tank and provide a receipt for reimbursement. Note: be sure to refill/replace the existing tanks - do not purchase a brand new tank. When drought, weather or other conditions present an unusual fire risk, a burn ban may be imposed by the community without prior notice. A fishing license is needed by PA for anyone 16 and older. The community also needs an Emerald Lake Fishing License, which can be acquired at the office. Any fish caught must be released back into the lake. The draw back was the location of the hot tub since there was no direct access. You had to walk around the house from the front door to get to it. The home is spacious, clean, and very comfortable — perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful Pocono setting. It’s tucked away in a quiet, wooded area, offering plenty of privacy, yet it’s still close to popular attractions like Kalahari, Camelback, and local hiking trails.The house had everything we needed — a well-equipped kitchen, cozy living spaces, and comfortable bedrooms. I especially enjoyed the calm surroundings and the easy access to nearby lakes and nature spots.Overall, the property is an excellent place for a getaway, whether you’re looking to unwind or explore all that the Poconos have to offer. We visited between seasons but there were plenty of amenities to enjoy regardless of the weather. Again, read the description... to enjoy the amenities it comes at an added cost that is clearly stated prior to your booking. If you don't want to use the amenities, it won't cost you a penny. The home was clean and check in was easy. Convenient location to grocery store, restaurants and outlets. We were 5 adults and were comfortable - any more and it may be tight. The beds are comfortable. If you use more one towel (ex.for your hair or for the lake) bring your own/extra as you’ll need it or you’ll be doing loads of laundry. To access the backyard you need to go around the front, not an issue but just an advisement if you have older guests.
