Staff and food quality was superb! Excellent.
The facility is not as described. For the money they should provide with more amenities.
As you enter the lobby area you see an empty pont in the background that looks horrible.
The video on the marketing highlight views that are not like that. I will say they are excellent on marketing!
The location is beautiful but it’s lacking the service. Room was good but bathroom hardly had any supply. No hangers in the room for clothes, no bath robes, no hair dryer and some other.
Also charging for WiFi ?????
Very disappointed as the hotel charges are so high.
But the restaurant service and food was great and staffs are excellent.
I liked the aspect of being disconnected from the world in a mini getaway in the wilderness and able to peacefully spend time in the woods.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The property is nice and pleasant. The problem is the room service is poor. The house telephone was not working and it took more than an hour to even get drinking water in the room.
If you want an isolated location and a forest experience then this place is good, however you will have to ignore a lot of things like the quality of food, The Housekeeping and the manners of staff.
The Bed sheets were very dirty with food stains and other stains..and when you asked them to change they bring other bed sheet with similar stains.
Food is just ok...while they force you to have buffet, as room dining does not include main course you can only order limited items like sandwich.
The Internet is charged very heavily as nothing works in that region.
When you tell owner about housekeeping he says the customers go out and stain the bed sheets..nice attitude.
If you book through a third party website like hotels.com then they will not honor any additional commitment given by that website like free upgrade, Guaranteed late checkout etc..
Amazing property at a very beautiful location. The staff way too much helpful and welcomes the guests warmly. A must visit place for Family, Friends or a couple.
Room: They downgraded my room without informing me nor did they reimburse me for the difference. My room had a king bed but without an actual king size mattress. They used two smaller mattress that ran a gap in the middle which was very uncomfortable. Also, linen quality was bad. Towels had threads hanging from the sides
Food: was awful - was served cold, lacked salt, tasteless. Since there was no other restaurant in the vicinity we were stuck with it.
Service: Staff members were very rude and the service was terrible. The hotel claims to provide some services but they are at an additional charge. WiFi is at an additional charge!!!! What hotel that charges $300 USD a night charges extra for a slow 2GB data limit wifi.
Parking: No proper parking spaces.
All in all I had a terrible experience staying at the Machan. For the prices they charge they are in the business of ripping you off for sure. Definitely not worth the price I paid. They should probably clarify their tagline
"AT THE MACHAN WE’RE NOT JUST SELLING YOU A ROOM … WE’RE IN THE BUSINESS OF CURATING EXPERIENCES THAT LAST A LIFETIME" .... AWFUL EXPERIENCES I.E......

Disliked: Staff & service
Overpriced for the facilities
the Machans , have no facility besides, bed and food, blend such an out of site location , should have more things to do for the Guest. there is no wifi, no entertainment whatsoever
A good place to relax leaving urban concrete jungle to be in a natural setting surrounded by hills and a wooded forest. Beautiful views from deck. Very quite except for bird chirping sounds. Food was awesome.
Cost is steep particularly when you have to pay for dinners.
My stay at The Machan was fantastic! We decided we wanted a jungle Machan once we arrived and the manager was happy to accommodate since he had one available. Everyone was kind and helpful and the food was some of the best I had during my two weeks in India.
Our room was gorgeous! It was kept very clean and the outdoor shower and bathtub was such a treat! We loved being able to to watch the changing colors of the sky from sunrise and sunset from our bed above the tree tops. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to find a little piece and quiet away from busy streets of India’s cities.
I would call this place heaven on earth. In this world of electronics I felt I have reached a place where you can commune with nature and spend quality time with friends and family. Food was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Place runs like clockwork. Was very happy to receive personal phone calls reminding us for lunch and dinner. Can't wait to go back and enjoy the other machans.
Nature lovers den,Romantic Peaceful blissful hotel
A must visit for nature lovers. No disturbance for anything including tips as u can give once if you choose to. The nature is truly nurtures, no honking, etc policies were just superb, would love to revisit.very fresh air food n service
The place is good way to get unplugged. But like any place in India that haven't nailed customer service down. They convinced us to book a particular room over the phone and then didn't give us the room we wanted (canopy with bath tub on deck, room with lot of jungle green view). They just generally recommend canopy rooms for couples so made us do the same without listening to our requirements.
Eco friendly places in India don't recycle or sort trash. So I'm not sure how eco friendly are they.
Again I would go for a day since it's different but don't go with much expectations.
Loved the surroundings and atmosphere. The entire place just brings you our of the misery of a hustling bustling busy city life and transcends and rejuvenates you completely.
The Machan in itself is so breatakingly beautiful .. The staff are who made our stay so wonderful. They were courteous and so understanding. A special thanks to Mr. Mayur and Ms. Samta!! We are truly grateful :)
Except the structures made as machans nothing is there
Staff does know anything as they are not trained at all for anything be it housekeeping or F&B
Reception is very dull staff at reception also very ill trained or they behave in that manner
Crockery are of very bad quality & even broken
Mattresses at sit out are either torn or eaten by mouse
At large not worth of money they charge
