Unfortunately, my stay at Jess Hotel & Spa was very upsetting and left me feeling unsafe. During my stay, another guest who appeared to be intoxicated aggressively slapped me. I immediately asked the hotel receptionist to contact the police. The police arrived and took the situation seriously, but I was informed that, under Polish law, further action would require me to pursue the matter through a civil case in court. What was particularly concerning to me was the hotel’s response to the situation. I was disappointed that there did not appear to be an effective policy or procedure for dealing with an aggressive guest or preventing potential further altercations. As a guest, I would expect a hotel to take reasonable steps to protect the safety and security of its guests when an incident like this occurs. I understand that the hotel cannot control every action of its guests, and I am not blaming the hotel for another person’s behavior. However, I believe the hotel’s handling of the aftermath and its apparent lack of a clear policy for dealing with aggressive guests are serious concerns. For these reasons, based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Jess Hotel & Spa to travelers who prioritize feeling safe and secure during their stay. I hope the hotel reviews its procedures for handling incidents involving aggressive or intoxicated guests so that similar situations can be prevented in the future.
