The Grand Tappattoo Resort, an Ascend Collection Resort

"We stayed at the Grand Tappattoo for 4 days and 3 nights and it was pretty comfortable. The resort is easily accessible and surrounded by tall trees and lakes adding to the quite and serenity of nature. The rooms were simple, spacious and were cleaned on demand. The staff was very helpful as well. We had a few issues on the first night of our stay and they acted on it promptly. We had access to kayaks and canoes all day long which added big time to the fun and relaxing stay, To our surprise, there was provision for bonfire at night and we had a good time watching the sunset. The breakfast was included with our stay (which is not a common find in the area), but items on the menu were mostly on repeat. Not many options for vegans and vegetarians. The pool was sadly closed for renovation during our stay and opened on our last day, which was unfortunate. Overall, a nice resort to spend a long weekend with family to unwind and reconnect with nature. I would recommend this place for a family with kids and grandparents."

"The breakfast was more than acceptable, HOWEVER - you need to make the serving area much bigger as people were standing on top of each other, the lineups for waffles was confusing. The area was a big mess with overflowing garbage cans ... the people were making a big mess and not cleaning up after themselves. I would recommend a sign to say "WELCOME EVERYONE! Please enjoy your breakfast and make sure to CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF and put your garbage in the garbage" most of the people were leaving and leaving the mess on the tables!"

"Nice shallow beach. Our dog practically lived in the water for the whole four days we were there. Nicely stocked kitchen. There was large jugs of drinking water water provided. Great time to visit as there was a beautiful breeze and no bugs! Even the neighbours dog came over for a visit!"
