Loch Lomond Shores Tours and Activities

Room was very basic , paint slapped around on bits of wood for bed side tables , could see behind radiator where they stopped painting and paint on windows etc No soap to wash hands - a small bar at least could have been provided . Only half a toilet roll . This hotel is way less than 3 star . Over £200 was ridiculous . I feel that prices in Skye have escalated over recent years and places like this take advantage . It felt more like a hostel . Instructions in room had errors - apostrophe in ‘ items ‘ . Just felt too overpriced compared to other hotels that we stayed in which cost less and got so much more ie toiletries , full cooked breakfast etc Continental breakfast was packets of cereal , yogurts , cheap orange juice , bags of sliced bread Fruit would have been good . Bed was not that comfortable and room was way too warm without heating . Mould on shower tray . Opened the shower screen & it came off the runner so wouldn’t shut - husband had to sort it with great effort Never saw a member of staff whole time we were there . Breakfast room was pleasant but breakfast items were basic .

We arrived late, they were just about to wrap up serving dinner. Manager said just sit at the bar - have a drink and eat your dinner first then we will take care of the luggages. They took our order and served us delicious steaks, wine and then helped us with our luggage. They did all this smoothly and naturally, which made us feel very welcomed. Breakfast was great, not elaborately large spread, but enough of each category to meet our 10 veggie and protein intake targets effortlessly and delicately. Overall we couldn’t be happier and left very satisfied with the service, food and our clean, large cottage. If we come back to Highland Scotland we will definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone also.
