Great hotel, huge bedrooms, lots of social space. Plenty of areas in spa so never felt crowded, breakfast small in comparison to others i’ve had but it was fine.

General maintenance and cleanliness were extremely low with our room having a broken window hinge, the bin lid broken off, spit covering the bedroom mirror, the bath taps being brown around the outside, the toilet seat being the incorrect ...

My daughter and I stayed in the Orme lodge, it was lovely. Nice and warm, squirrels outside the windows. Hot tub is just a hot tub - not one with bubbles! so don't look for a button to press lol Very peaceful. If you go with kids (i went with teenager) then maybe take a laptop to watch netflix etc ...
