All on the Ground Floor: Open plan living space. Living area: 24" Freeview TV, DVD Player, Electric Woodburner, Patio Doors Leading To Garden Dining area. Kitchen area: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Bedroom 2: Bunk (3ft) Beds Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Electric heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, CCTV and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Welcome pack. External laundry room with 2 washing machines and tumble dryer (shared with other properties on-site).. Lawned garden with patio, garden furniture and BBQ. 25 acres of natural, un-spoilt grounds with woodland (shared with owner and other properties on-site). Hot tub (private). Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a well. There is an unfenced pond, a stream, sloping banks, wetland and a disused quarry in the grounds. No children under the age of 5 years old are permitted to use the hot tub.. Maesydderwen, meaning oak field, started life as a working farm and later became a country inn, but is now a collection of delightful holiday cottages, beautifully situated within the living landscape of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The charming market town of Llandeilo, with chic shops and an array of good restaurants, cafes and pubs, is just over three miles away. This terraced holiday property has been renovated by the owners who live on-site, and boasts a fantastic hot tub and comfortable accommodation ideal for families, friends or couples. The property has CCTV and has been awarded Bronze in the Carmarthenshire Tourism Awards for self catering accommodation of the year 2018/2019 (3 units or more). There is an abundance of wildlife to see and enjoy from the grounds including woodpecker, siskin, marsh tit, goldfinch, nuthatch and wild roe deer. Red kites can also often be seen soaring overhead and there is a feeding station a 20-minute drive away. You can leave the car behind and enjoy wonderful walks directly from the cottage. If you can drag yourself away from Maesydderwen, there are the beautiful castles of Carreg Cennen and Dinefwr nearby, and the dammed lake of Llyn Y Fan Fach at the western border of the Black Mountains. The National Botanic Garden of Wales, 11 miles, with its great glasshouse dome at its centre, is a year round attraction, and within the Brecon Beacons National Park there are masses of paths and trails for walkers, runners, cyclists, mountain bikers, golfers, horse riders and wildlife watchers. Adrenaline sports such as paragliding, canoeing, rafting and abseiling can also be organised within the national park. Fishing is available in the nearby Towy Valley. Beach 30 miles. Shop and pub 3 miles, restaurant 3¾ miles. Robin Cottage can be booked together with Kite Cottage (CC632040), Owl Cottage (CC632041), Wren Cottage (CC632043), The Lodge (CC632044), Kingfisher (UK6278) and Siskin Cottage to accommodate up to 37 guests. Free WiFi No children under 5 are permitted to use the hot tub. We stayed just before lockdown and had an amazing time. The cottage is clean and tidy, and the hot tub is well maintained. We made use of this every night! The owners are both friendly and thoughtful. There to meet us, and speaking to us throughout the week, we found them friendly and helpful. The welcome basket was an amazing touch that we loved, and the welcome book has lots of advice on where to go and where to eat. We also loved the idea that we could order more welsh tea bread (which we did!) to take home. Set in a beautiful location, once we found it, we then found it easy to navigate around the area. We also met the neighbour down the road who was also friendly and told us the best places for walks nearby. All in all, we cannot wait to return!
