booked a single room, came with a sea view. The bathroom was pretty tired with an overbath shower. With a mobility issue was reluctant to risk slipping with no mat available. Parking nearby was problematic.

For the cost of the hotel I expected better service. There was one waiter serving from the bar and we sat on the lawned terrace for 25 minutes and no one came to serve us so I had to ask reception to send someone. The spa is very old and desperately in need of a full refurbishment. The food was fairly good but considering the cost wasn’t worth it as I've eaten better three course meals for less in many other top restaurants. It’s a shame as the setting is lovely with the hotel buildings, gardens, and the Snowdonia hills in the distance. It could be so much better with some improvements here and there but I didn’t feel it was worth the high end cost for what was in my opinion a mediocre experience.

Great weekend stay with my elderly parents, fabulous breakfast, comfortable rooms, great that our dog could stay too. A good all round hotel!

Owners very friendly and welcoming, I was doing an ultra marathon up snowdon and it was a short driving distance to start line. Rooms clean and comfortable would definitely stay again if I returned to wales
