About this property

Mid Century Charm, a walk away from Loon Mountain

  • Summer dates 2026 (May-July) now open! WALK to the resort!

Welcome to The Birdhouse - our spacious end unit with mid century modern mountain charm at Loon Mountain. This condo is only a few minutes WALK from the trails and lifts at Loon and a short drive to Lincoln and North Woodstock and other area attractions. If you're seeking an amazing mountain getaway that caters to families, friend groups, pet owners, snowboarders, skiers, mountain bikers, hikers, and nature lovers, look no further!

Built in 1968 by Loon Mountain's founder, Sherman Adams, and named for his son, the Kancamagus House condos on Sam's Way are the oldest townhouses at Loon. While the condo still retains original charm, it features recent upgrades and appliances including all new stainless steel kitchen appliances, quartz countertop, high efficiency washer & dryer unit, bathroom vanities, large shower head and BRAND NEW gas fireplace.

The first floor features an open concept connecting the kitchen, dining room and living room. The living room has a 55 inch TV on a full motion wall mount and also features a fireplace. The galley kitchen comes stocked with cookware, kitchen staples and spices as well as coffee and tea.

The second floor has three spacious bedrooms and a full bathroom. Two bedrooms have queen-sized beds while the third bedroom has a bunkbed with a twin on top and FULL bed on the bottom plus a trundle bed with two twin-sized mattresses. All rooms have large closests and one bedroom also has a desk and adjustable chair that's perfect for WFH.

All the rooms let in a ton of light and the unit is on a quiet dead end road with little traffic and noise. The condo does not have AC but each bedroom and the downstairs has portable fans available and the windows have screens that can let in a breeze. Room darkening shades also help keep the bedrooms cool.

Additionally, all bookings include access for 8 people to the Wellness Center at The Mountain Club on Loon. This includes use of their indoor pool, outdoor seasonal pool, hot tubs, steam room, sauna, cardio and weight rooms, and fitness classes. It also includes a 10% discount to the Black Mountain Pub. The Mountain Club is within walking distance of the condo.

This space is perfect for the whole family or friend groups, providing ample sleeping arrangements and plenty of room for play and relaxation. For pet owners, we've got you covered with a dog lead line out back, a dog bed and both dog and cat toys, allowing your furry friends to enjoy the property as well. Our neighborhood is both dog-friendly and walkable. And for mountain or road bikers, we have a bike rack outside to hold up to four bikes.

Onsite parking is included for 2 cars.

NOTE: As its an older property, some features in the house have a few quirks but these do not make the property any less enjoyable! Details are included in the Guide Book. While there have been many recent upgrades to the condo, again it is older, and shows some signs of wear and tear (such as some permanent stains in the bathtub and carpet). If staying at an entirely new property is important to you, this might not be the best fit, however if you appreciate character and don't mind a few imperfections, then this is the place for you!
