The room was clean and comfortable though it smelled weird. We had a hell of a time finding the place because it was dark, the sign by the road was hard to see AND the name had changed. It is no longer called Great Northern Inn. To be fair the place was as tidy as can be when in the middle of huge remodel. We came down for breakfast at 8 only to find the food scarce and very limited. So if you’re hoping for a nice continental breakfast you’ll be disappointed. There was also a LOT of slamming doors, loud talking, and commotion all night long. The workers also started on the remodel work around 7:30 AM but I guess you’ve got to make hay while the sun shines. This hotel is centrally located with a Starbucks, Walmart, Dollar Tree, a gas station, and the Judy Garland museum all within a short walking distance.
