Nestled amidst glorious north Cornish countryside, yet just 7 miles from the breathtaking Heritage coastline, this delightful, spacious property is the perfect choice for family and friends to escape and relax in this tranquil location. Barfield’s Cherry Tree Cottage is a converted stone barn, ideal for a family with children or couples looking for a cosy country retreat with the added benefit of two separate sitting rooms, each with its own TV and DVD player. One of the key features of this pretty holiday cottage is the use of the owners’ beautiful indoor heated swimming pool (1 minute’s walk from the cottage). The cottage has its own private patio-style garden to the front with a lovely sitting-out area and there is a small games room available (1 minute’s walk from the cottage). The owners, who live close by, are themselves very accommodating and a lovely welcome pack is provided for guests. The property is situated on a 35-acre smallholding with sheep, horses, chickens and ducks, close to Canworthy Water in the heart of rural Cornwall, and just a short drive from some superb coastal towns and beaches such as Bude and Crackington Haven. The pretty villages of Padstow, where the renowned chef Rick Stein boasts a superb seafood restaurant and deli shop; Port Isaac where Doc Martin was filmed, and Rock are all worth a visit. Mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle is close by, whilst the wild beauty of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moor are a must for walkers. For a great day out try Crealy Adventure Park and the famous Eden Project. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles. Free WiFi The land is shared with a small holding where horses and other livestock live. Christmas decorations/trees are not provided. If you wish to decorate the property, please ensure they are taken down at the end of your stay and have not been fixed to the walls and ceiling, leaving a mark. The cottage is situated in the Cornwall countryside and boasts picturesque views and images of rural Cornwall. Within a twenty-minute drive you can find beautiful beaches, cafes, pubs and restaurants. A further ten minutes takes you to a large supermarket that will cater for all your shopping needs, you can also get your petrol there. The cottage itself is very comfortable, great kitchen, living rooms, bedrooms with very, very comfortable beds. The swimming pool and the games room are excellent for entertaining children and adults alike. The hosts were warm and welcoming, providing information about the property and the surrounding area, there was also a very comprehensive information book for reference. The hosts manage to create the right atmosphere of welcome and on-going availability that supports a relaxing stay at Cherry Tree Cottage. The whole family loved staying here, highly recommended.
