Lapine Vacation Packages

Clean room. Nice staff. Didn’t win but, still enjoyed my visit.

Exceptional on all levels. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were the most clean we have encountered....we are sensitive to mold and there was absolutely none to be found---not even around the faucets in the bathroom. We were not afraid to go barefoot in the room as the carpet and floors were spotless. The FREE breakfast and dinner were top notch. Drury has become one of our favorite places to stay now.

I am stumped by the contradictions of the experience. On the one hand, the hotel has many wonderful things. The grand Art Deco lobby, sitting and breakfast areas are comfortable and lovely. The breakfasts were delicious and nutritious, and the breakfast help couldn't have been lovelier. The room was fine, the kitchenette functional and clean. The bed had a good mattress and clean, respectable linens. The bathroom had plenty of towels, but almost no surface for bathroom sundries, and no cabinet under the sink or any other bathroom storage. And the room looked out onto a service area with some kind of machine that made a constant loud rumble. But the major problem was the sofa bed. We are two adult friends and didn't want to share a bed, so at every place we stayed, we got rooms with two beds. When I tried to reserve one at this hotel, the only option that came up was a queen-sized bed and a fold-out sofa, which we were fine with in principle. Unfortunately, the sofa mattress was old, matted, and super thin, and when you set it up there was barely any room to pass through to access. It was not fit for sleep. So we had to share the bed. The next morning I went to the front desk and reported the issue. The only response I got was "okay." No apology, no offer of anything to address the issue. This was unacceptable. Completely unprofessional.
