We arrived on the first day of Ramadan, and there was nowhere to eat during the day, unless you took a taxi to the town centre (7 ringgit, with uber). I would 101% recommend this hotel and dont worry about location because no matter where you are on the island you always have to travel for all the excursions so please do not hesitate to book this hotel.
