Lakewood Vacation Packages

The tiki bar was very convenient with surprisingly good food for a reasonable price. The view from our room was great, and the beachfront location was wonderful. However, i probably wouldn't book a room here again. The room was clean-ish. Dirty baseboards and outside of oven, but not horrible. The amenities were almost non-existent. I paid extra to have a kitchen, but there was only one baking sheet with no other pots or pans. Don't plan on actually being able to cook anything. It was nice to have dishes available, although there was only one lone fork included. Bring your own Shampoo, soap, lotion, etc., because even though the pictures show pump bottles in the shower (and at other By the Sea Resort locations they ARE available) the only thing they give you here is a a tiny, travel-sized bottle, and it is difficult to get more from housekeeping. We stayed 6 nights and just ended up buying some from a nearby store. Bedding and pillows were cheap and worn. You can't beat the price for a beachfront stay, but I will gladly pay more somewhere else for a more comfortable stay.

The outside of property is in poor condition and the pool furniture is all broken and old luggage racks/carts all had flat tires,,check-in was past 4 and overall a nightmare,,trying to push those carts not easy they tip over stuff goes everywhere and the elevator made me nervous every single time I got on it…the air was cool in our room and had a full kitchen was nice, aside from the 4 house hold cockroaches and broken balcony chairs it was not horrible

Pictures of the rooms on the website are not accurate. Did not get the room I booked and staff were unhelpful.in addressing the issue, request to be moved to a different room and was told nothing was available. Room had a very loud dehumidifier which had to run or the room smelled dank. The smallest shower enclosure I've ever been in, horrible shower head that barley worked. No microwave, no sitting chair or couch as indicated in the room description. Garage parking is very limited, no lifted trucks or high SUV can make it past the 2nd floor. Nothing to do in the immediate area.

Overall the place matched the description and photos. The 1st Floor rooms were ground level on the beach side of the building, and about half of those rooms were at the pool. The 2nd Floor rooms were ground level on the street side of the building. My room was on the 3rd Floor and was even with the top of the palm trees on the beach side of the building. I still had a decent view of the beach, but some of the trees were in the way. If you really want a great view, request a room above the 3rd Floor. The room was clean, but the balcony did not appear to have ever been cleaned. There was random hairs on the chairs, table, and window seal, as well as being dirty. The bathroom shower was very small. Body wash, shampoo, and lotion were provided. There was a small coffee maker with coffee provided, in addition to the microwave and fridge. There was no paper towels. The pool and hot tub were both nice. There was several access points to get to the beach. The beach was not crowded and the surrounding area was mostly residential with no other large resorts.
