Lake Superior Log Home, Northern Wisconsin

Beautiful log home located in northern Wisconsin on the south shore of Lake Superior with direct access to the lake from the property. Located 3 miles west of Port Wing, WI and 46 miles east of Duluth, MN. Come and enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake. Great place to relax, unwind, and disconnect.

The main level of the log home has one bedroom with a queen bed, full kitchen, living room with beautiful stone fireplace, and bathroom with unique stone shower. Enjoy the lake views on the main level deck. The upper level loft has a king size bed and a set of bunk beds along with a half bath and small private side deck.

Direct access to Lake Superior directly from property! Use the stone staircase to descend down the bluff to dip your toes in the water of Lake Superior. Enjoy looking for unique rocks to collect or skip on the water.

Outside you will also find a large fire pit to enjoy with wood available for your use. Unobstructed views of Lake Superior.

High speed internet available for your use on the property. Smart TVs for streaming.

Absolute beautiful cabin!! Gorgeous place! Sadly, we didn’t get to experience the gorgeous views of Lake Superior due to the smoke from the wildfires in Canada. We also experienced a heat warning during our stay which was not very comfortable. We knew there was no air conditioning and so we opened the windows. We were a bit disappointed to see that a lot of the windows had large gaps for bugs to get in, some were labeled as a broken sash and some were blocked by furniture. There was a portable air conditioner upstairs, but we were told that air condition was not an option so we chose not to use it. Got a bit steamy on our last days at the cabin. Also, we know it was well water and were prepared; however, the smell was so strong and quite nauseating. Overall, it was still a beautiful cabin and would definitely recommend visitors to stay here!

Stunning property! Beautiful panoramic views, clean beach area, and lovely and inviting home. We have always wanted to stay in a "real" log cabin and this did not disappoint! Perfect for our girl's family vacation!

Weekend Get Away

Perfect option for a relaxing vacation. Quiet and peaceful to enjoy the sound of the waves in the morning and great view of the sunset at night. Cabin was comfortable and clean. Check-in and out was seamless and easy.Location was very convenient for exploring from the Bayfield area up Two Harbors. Would Recommend.

Comfortable accommodations and beautiful views. Lake access was a great bonus. Plenty of space for a family of 5. We had colder and wetter weather than anticipated in July so the cabin gathering spaces were perfect for playing games and watching movies.

Best Family Vacation

We were able to stay at the Lake Superior Log Home for four nights in late June/early July…what a treat. The home exceeded all expectations, and the owners were so helpful with any and all questions. We loved the greater Port Wing area…played hard all day and relaxed at the home in the evening. We hope to return again soon!

Beautiful Rustic Getaway with Stunning Lake Superior Views

We had a great stay at this charming, rustic home right on the shores of Lake Superior. The house itself has a lot of character and a cozy atmosphere. But the real highlight is the property—it’s hard to beat the direct lake access and lake views. The owners were responsive and easy to work with, answering all of our questions promptly. We highly recommend this place for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

Amazing Location

We had such a lovely stay! The cabin is very cozy and comfortable. Has everything you might need during your stay. The views are amazing! Really peaceful sitting and listening to the lake during the day, and the add the stars at night it was absolutely perfect.

Short weekend break

Loved the location, close enough to places yet lovely and quiet. Lovely cabin with everything you need provided plus a lot of extras to make your stay even better. Very clean and beds were nice and comfortable. Would recommend.

The best place to experience the beauty of Lake Superior.

This is our 2nd time staying at this house and I don’t know how it could get better. The property had some shoreline work done recently which really helps with lake access. It’s close to everything and nothing, which makes it private but also great for day trips. Cannot recommend it enough. If you love the north woods, you should definitely check it out!

Beautiful cabin, amazing views!

The cabin was perfect for our family's vacation. It was so welcoming and clean, and the view could not be beat. The kids especially loved the bunk beds! We had a great stay and would definitely return.

Amazing views and great accomodations

We loved the great room for hanging out, taking in views of Lake Superior, cooking meals, and movie nights. Outside there is a stone staircase that leads down to a rocky shoreline where we skipped rocks and even got in the water when it was calm. The big fire pit kept us warm while we watched the sun set over the lake. Overall, this place was perfect for a family vacay up north. Bring charcoal if you are planning to grill. I also recommend bringing a small hatchet to make some kindling out of the provided firewood. It was not a problem for us, but there was no laundry or diswasher onsite.

Wonderful getaway

The property was amazing. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed, and the space was wonderful for our family of 6 to all feel comfortable and not cramped. The loft with bunkbed and king was really large so the kids had plenty of room to share that space. Port Wing was just 4 minutes away for the few grocery items we forgot, and has a cute little market on Saturdays. We really loved the steps down to the beach as we spent a lot of time dipping our toes in the chilly waves of Lake Superior. But do be aware that the steps are quite large, so they could be difficult for someone with mobility issues or little legs (short 7 yo in our group had no problem though for reference, just take them slow). We usually go to the North Shore of Lake Superior, but would definitely consider staying here again!
