Black Bear Cozy Cabin is a 2 bedroom 1 bath rancher 1/2 a block from Lake Harmony. It is dog friendly so you don’t have to leave your beloved pet at home. Imagine enjoying your morning coffee on this quiet street while enjoying the deer strolling by from the large decks. You will enjoy plenty of parking and an easy stroll down to the lake. Your stroll will take you to the public kayak boat launch/ swimming / fishing area of Lake Harmony. Bring our provided kayaks, your fishing poles and provided tubes and enjoy the water. We are sure you will enjoy being within walking distance to all the restaurants and Split Rock Resort. Nicks Lake House, Shenanigans, Piggies, and Terra Cottage are maybe 3 tenths of a mile up the road to your right. This Ranch features hard wood floors throughout and a cozy cabin decor. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a queen and 1 set of bunk beds for all your other guests. The living room features a stone fireplace and a 52 inch ROKU TV. The living room is open to the eat in kitchen area allowing a great flow for your visit. Total sleep space is 6. There is an air conditioning for hot summer days and forced hot air heat for the winter. This cozy cabin is perfect for seasonal, weekly or just weekend renting. Discounts apply the longer you stay. If you like skiing or snow boarding, you will enjoy Big boulder Ski resort just a mile away and Jack Frost Ski Resort just 2 miles away. If you are a Race Fan, The tricky triangle track is about 10 minutes away. We provide kayaks, one double and two children kayaks. The back deck and yard boasts a gas grill and a fire pit for your enjoyment. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, There is always something going on between Lake Harmony and Split Rock Resort. Wine Fest, Cigar Fest, Ski Season, Summer Lake fun and hiking. If you want to swim, I recommend Hickory Run State Park’s beach just 10 miles away. We love live music so Penns Peak is one of our favorite venues. Check out which bands are in the area during your stay. If you want a great place to go for New Years Eve, this is the spot. Memories await you at this lovely perfectly located home. Rent the whole ski season or just a weekend. All the fun just a few blocks from your front door. Enjoy!

This home was very clean and had everything we could have needed. So cozy inside and out! The firepit out back and the fireplace inside added to the cozy cabin ambiance. We could see the lake from the living room, and the neighborhood deer kept us company all weekend. A real highlight of our weekend!We were about 25 minutes from Jim Thorpe, 10 minutes from Hickory Run State Park and about 30 minutes from Lehigh Gorge state park. Lots of restaurants close by. We had a blast, thank you, and we hope to come visit again!

Perfect long weekend getaway

From pre-booking to checkout the communication with Lisa was great. The property was just as described and pictured. It was the perfect location just a short walk to the lake, and just a short distance to multiple restaurants and local attractions. Also for those who love nature, this was a peaceful location and there were many deer making their way past the house on the street. Overall it was a perfect long weekend getaway!

Nice location, small chalet, cabin. Has an 80s feel (not a modern style). Little bit old fashioned, but really cozy. Extra: all the wildlife around the house. Deer, bear, chipmunks, turkeys, squirrels.

Clean comfortable cottage in a great location.

Lisa’s place was exactly what we needed. Home was spotless when we arrived. Easy check in was a plus. It was great to be able to bring our dog with us. Would absolutely recommend her home to a small family that wants to be right near Big boulder and close to Jack Frost. Look for to staying here again.

Cozy!

We loved our stay in the cozy cabin! The deer were so sweet and the home had everything we needed. Lisa supplied lots of nice towels, and the front deck is great for relaxing! It’s a lovely place to stay!

Great little cabin for unwinding

The cabin was super clean and adorable in a bear motif. We didn’t see any bear but saw lots of friendly deer. Thanks for providing deer corn for feeding the gang. Bed and furniture were comfortable. Deck was amazing and peaceful. Backyard would be nice in cooler weather. Host was very responsive although we ha zero problems with anything. We would definitely consider staying here again.

We had a nice time in Lake Harmony. The house and location were great. The only slight disappointment were all of the motor boats and jet skis in Lake Harmony on Saturday when we went kayaking. But, otherwise great stay!

Cozy cabin, great location

This is our second time staying at Cozy Bear cabin, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. It's just a block up from public access to Lake Harmony, and a 5 min drive to Big Boulder where we enjoyed snowboarding for a couple of days. It's a small cabin, but very comfortable for our family of 4 and our dog (very nice it is dog friendly). Lisa, the owner, is very responsive and helpful, and the property is well maintained and clean . The kids really enjoyed seeing the deer that would visit the backyard every morning. Will definitely be back again.

Excellent weekend getaway

My husband and I went to Lake Harmony for our anniversary, and brought our golden retriever with us. Check in was a breeze and the home was adorable and clean. Loved the cabin- great location right near the lake and close to the restaurants. Also a short drive to many hiking areas!
