Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar Tours and Activities

Happily greeted when we arrived by valet. Check in was easy. Rooms (3) I booked we great

Your staff was courteous and professional, but unfortunately the food service left much to be desired. I ordered hot wings at the bar and waited a considerable amount of time before the bartender checked on my order. Only then did I learn the kitchen was out of wings. It was disappointing to wait so long only to learn that the item I ordered was unavailable. Better communication between the kitchen and bar staff would greatly improve the customer experience. Additionally, the restaurant advertised a breakfast buffet, but when I arrived, the buffet was not available. I then ordered the shrimp and grits from the menu. When the meal was served, the grits were cold and undercooked, and the portion included only three very small shrimp that were barely recognizable as shrimp. Given the quality of the meal, I could not accept it and returned it. While I appreciate the friendliness and effort of the staff, the lack of communication regarding menu availability and the poor food quality made for a very disappointing dining experience. I hope these issues can be addressed so that future guests receive the level of service the staff works hard to provide.
