#### Goodbye Lenine !

Not fully renovated apartment in an old soviet-style building. Bathroom not at current minimum standards (soviet style): old and dirty bathroom, one single tap common to bathtub snd sink, shower curtain too short. Kitchen ok. Sewage smell all over the apartment. No international TV channel in EN or FR. Common stairs very dirty and sometimes broken. Concierge half polite. 24 h availability not available as advertised on Hotels.com.

Very very average appartement. The flat located is gospitalnaya 2 appartement 78 is on any pictures from the website( i checked all 138 pictures) It s not so much renovated but the biggets problem was lot of dust. Cleaning was really not good. Hair on shower, dirty toilet, suspicious bed. Im quiet upset. The good side is it was very easy to get keys and location was great

#### OK PLACE

I arrived late in the evening and had to go to another address to pick up the key and pay deposit. Both places where a bit difficult to find and the staff Did not speak English. Apartment was nice and modern and had a Good location. Unfortunately there was no shampoo, coffee or tea available. Floor was dirty and towels where a bit small. When I returned the key I had to go back to the other address. The lady there Did not speak English and was very rude.

#### Disappointing

After looking through the first 20 odd photos of the property on the app I went ahead and booked. The expectation v reality of what we actually got was somewhat disappointing. Before we saw our actual room. The property details state there is a lift…there was not. Found the gas to turn the cooker on but couldn’t get it to work. The toilet was so close to the wall that anyone over 5’3 has to sit sideways. The balcony was full of linen so we couldn’t actually sit outside and the door was hanging off it’s hinges when opened. The location was good with the tube stations, pub and shop within 5 minute walk. The room was clean and functional. Check in process was straight forward once we managed to locate the building. In all honesty I felt a little missold on this based on the concentration of photos that made the rooms look modernised and refurbished. So pay attention to type of suite you’re booking to avoid disappointment. I clearly missed something.

Well.... what i didn't expect was to try and find the location of the office to collect the key, the description was not clear! it's also up 400 steps and then attempt to knock on a padded leather door - not easy. Thankfully we has booked an English speaking driver to collect us from the airport, so he was able to help. Even though we arrived within the allocated time slot, the room wasn't ready, however, we were given the key to drop our bags off. The actual apartment is about 1 km away from the office, again the driver was able to help with the finding of the place. Without him, we would of been lost, angry and very annoyed. You enter the apartment from the back of the shops, next to all of the bins (rather unpleasant smell) and the least picturesque arrival. So our apartment was number 77, which was quite a lot of steps, there is a lift which looks like its about 100 years old and a H&S nightmare, but it works, you just have to kick the 100's of cigarette butts out of the way. We knew the apartment hadn't been cleaned, but when we entered it looked like a crime scene, I've seen crack dens (on the TV) look more appalling and cleaner. HOWEVER, what put us off most was the full ashtray - this was meant to be a NO SMOKING apartment! or is just NO SMOKING for the period that we stay? We turned around, locked the door and posted the keys in the apartments mailbox. I messaged the bloke from the office who hasn't responded!!!!

#### Worst experience out of 50+ rentals in Kyiv!!!

Extremely unpleasant experience: 1) reception open only 2pm-6pm. 2) they changed the address, did not think it important to update their hotels.com details. 3) did not have keys on location (despite knowing at what time I was coming) 4) demanded fees that were not mentioned on their site. 5) Extremely rude and unpleasant during the whole process

#### Ok stay in Baseina

Returning customer to Baseina. They have many apartments and I have never stayed in same twice. This one was OK. But uncomfortable mattress, small and thin duvet, and poor cooking facilities (gas, no lighter etc). Could just use microwave.

#### Neglected Apartment 

The apartment is in need of a major renovation! It has been years overdue for new wallpapers, flooring, carpet. furniture is old and worn out, The TV is a old 35 year old Sony Trinitron it took them three days to get it working. A very neglected property. The staff was friendly and accommodating which made my stay enjoyable in spite of the conditions in the apartment

Very old and trashy apartment, was almost not cleaned at all when we arrived. Food crumbles from earlier guests in the windowsills, stains on bedsheets and a lot of dust and gravel on the floors. Piles of grime and lint in every corner of the bedroom and under the bed. Did get the room cleaned one extra time but was still very poor cleaned in general. Kitchen tools not washed and had mysterious stains on it, had to wash everything before use. However, the surroundings were nice and great location of apartment. But the pictures of the apartments on Hotels.com, does not match the reality.

#### Not suitable for Expedia users expectations

This is an apartment rental service the address provided is not where the apartment is located. And it can be at some distance. Communications in English at key pick up and in case any needs arise will be difficult. The key pickup requires cash deposit equal to $40\. The apartment in which I ended up was next to construction site and had a lot of external noise. The bathroom was not to Western expectations (cheap plastic shower, small, dirty foam floor pad, etc.). Furniture was old and heavily used. Everything was "cheap rental" motif. It did have high ceiling and the bed was ok. Obviously the problem with the deposit is that it need to be recovered. That requires coordination of "check out" time and inspection before you can receive it. This complicates your departure and makes your movements dependent on someone showing up on time (which did take place). This may be workable for a Ukrainian/Russian speaker arriving from eastern Europe. This will be much more difficult for English speaker arriving from the west. Choose something else if you are the latter or feel adventurous,
