Kind staff. The traditional Japanese styled room was big and comfortable, with the expected amenities that come with this kind of room. The bathroom was small and the toilet was slightly wonky, but not big issues. The bath was a good size, and the outdoor onsen area was nice after a long day. Though small, town is very nice and it has unique character. Room is great but not elegant but I have no reason to complain. Hotel breakfast is very good, I did not try dinner there and assume Japanese food items. Note that food choices outside are limited and many restuarants close by 6PM. Only a ramen place was open late and it was good food there although people smoke inside. If you are driving, make sure gas tank is full as there are not many gas stations in this area of Hokkaido and even those exists open late in the morning.
