Who needs a vacay? It doesn’t have to be today—but when it is, gather your loved ones and head to “Melanie Jane’s Getaway”! This inviting and thoughtfully designed single-family home is the perfect coastal retreat for large groups, multigenerational families, or friends looking to reconnect and unwind by the sea. Ideally located just across the street from the sparkling Atlantic Ocean in the peaceful community of Kure Beach, this 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom home spans two full living levels, each with its own kitchen, living area, and outdoor space, giving everyone room to relax in comfort and style.  
  
As you arrive, the bright exterior and welcoming front porch instantly set the tone for a memorable stay. Step inside the lower level to find an expansive open-concept great room with comfortable seating, warm coastal decor, and soft natural light. The newly updated kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to prepare family meals—from quick breakfasts before a beach day to home cooked family meals. This level is home to two bedrooms: a lovely queen guest room with an en suite bathroom, and a cheerful bunk room featuring two sets of twin-size bunks. Designed with children in mind, the bunks sit low to the ground for added safety and comfort—perfect for young guests transitioning to their own sleep space. The bunk room also has its own full bathroom with a shower/tub combo and access to the rear patios where you can enjoy the shade, play games, or sip a cool drink in the ocean breeze.  
  
Upstairs, hardwood stairs lead you to another light-filled open-concept space that blends coastal comfort with modern convenience. The main living area is generously sized with plush seating, high ceilings, and doors that open onto a spacious deck—an ideal spot to enjoy your morning coffee as the sun rises or unwind with a glass of wine after a day of beach fun. From here, you can hear the soothing sound of waves and catch glimpses of the ocean between neighboring homes.  
  
The second kitchen is perfect for entertaining with plenty of counter space and seating for everyone to gather. Whether you’re prepping meals or setting out snacks for a casual hangout, this space is as functional as it is inviting. Gather around the spacious dining table or settle into the cozy living area for game night, storytelling, or a movie marathon. Three more bedrooms are located on this level: a serene queen suite with a private bathroom that offers a shower tub combination, a second queen bedroom, and another playful bunk room with two sets of twin bunks (again, designed for children). A shared bathroom adjoins the queen guest room and bunk room. A full laundry center off the dining area completes this floor, offering convenience and flexibility for larger groups.  
  
As part of the Kure Estates community, you’ll also enjoy access to private beachfront parking, a rare luxury in the area. Just half a block away, the oceanfront gazebo includes bathroom facilities, so you won’t need to trek back to the house mid-beach day. While the beach is just steps from your door, the private parking is perfect for loading up chairs, coolers, and toys—especially when traveling with kids or grandparents.  
  
Melanie Jane’s Getaway is more than just a place to stay—it’s a space to slow down, reconnect, and make lasting memories. Watch the sunrise with your toes in the sand, stroll to local shops and cafes, or take a short drive to explore the rich history of Fort Fisher, the sea life at the North Carolina Aquarium, or the scenic ferry ride to Southport. Whether you’re here to relax, explore, or celebrate, this charming home offers everything you need for a perfect beach escape.

Stay Requirements: Flexible arrivals with a 3-night minimum stay.  
Bedding Configuration: 3 Queen, 4 Bunk (Twin/Twin).  
Parking: Ample parking on site for 5 vehicles. One beach access parking pass for day use is included with your reservation.  
Pet Policy: Pet Policy: Dogs welcome as an optional add-on for this property with a non-refundable fee of $250 + tax that is charged per pet. Maximum of 2 dogs per reservation. Charge will be added after booking when the option to bring a pet and number of pets are selected. Nonrefundable fees are listed in the House Rules and animals must be disclosed via the Rental Agreement. Fees are not included automatically when booking on VRBO and must be paid separately to the host if you wish to bring a pet(s). Failure to disclose and prepay for dogs will result in penalty fees which are disclosed in House Rule #16.  
  
Prohibited: Smoking, Use of Garage, RV’s, Boats, Boat Trailers, Charging Golf Carts, Mail and Packages are not able to be sent to the rental.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund within 24 hours of booking, cancellations at 31+ days before check-in will receive a full refund after a $350 cancellation fee is deducted, cancellations at 15-30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of monies paid less a $350 cancellation fee and less than 15 days prior to arrival is not subject to a refund.  All policies are subject to possible additional refund based on re-rental, excluding non-refundable cancellation fees and travel insurance (if applicable).  
  
Bryant Real Estate, established in 1952, is a professionally operated firm that is licensed in North Carolina and hired by the property owner to manage “K229 – Melanie Jane's Getaway” as a vacation rental.
