The Hotel Seri Malaysia was one of those places – but for all the wrong reasons. If you have a look at our reviews, you’ll see that we’re pretty equitable – so when we say that this place is a DUMP you’ll understand that it must be pretty rough. And it is. Forget the photos on the website – this place is old, tired and almost unbelievably dirty. We walked into the room given to us, saw the literally years of grime and filth on the furnishings, the dirty bathroom and turned straight back around. Location is good. Bus-stop from/to Kuala Lumpur is right outside hotel. To the jetty it is about 10 minutes slow walking. Around jetty, there are also some eateries. Overall impression: somewhat neglected. Room: spacious. No safe, no fridge Bathroom: Needed cleaning. Pubic hair on toilet. Towels had grey color. Breakfast: acceptable (some Asian food (no cards with name or ingredients), baked beans, toast, jam). Staff friemdly, check-in smooth, wifi working. With some cleaning up, this could be a much more attractive hotel. Would I stay there again? Not for the location I wouldn't advise to stayover.
