A beautiful heritage building type of Hotel. Located in an almost European street with lots of attractions nearby. Extremely well kept. Hospitality was excellent, as expected. Wide variety of food. Service was done leisurely. Bonds well if you are on a leisure holiday but not if you are in a hurry to eat. As we could make out, food was quite fresh. Pleasant staff. Helpful attitude. On checking in we realised that it’s part of the same group which owns Kumarakom Lake Resort which was our next destination. Overall a pleasant experience.
Beautiful hotel in a lovely part of Fort Kochi, with a gorgeous pool that was welcome after a day exploring the area. The staff were all friendly and attentive and the food was tasty. Would highly recommend booking a walkikg tour through the hotel.
We only stayed overnight, but this property is beautiful, incredibly well mentioned and full of history, the restaurant is very good, and it is perfectly located in Kochi. Worth every penny.
Just stayed one night. Check in friendly and easy. Room had no view but was well equipped and decorated in a colonial style.
Nice pool area and good bar
Breakfast was biggest disappointment- more than enough variety but fruit poorly presented in tiny blocks that meant watermelon was mushy. Service definitely an area for improvement. No coordination between staff meant asking 3 times for a second coffee to get one and then no warm milk
Great location if your only in Cochin for a couple of days
Beautiful property in a great location. Staff was attentive and helpful. The pool is beautiful and the food excellent. They arranged airport transirtation as well as transport to Marari Beach.
Great boutique style hotel stayed 3 nights . Very clean and comfortable. Attentive friendly staff. Lovely pool area , where complimentary refreshments are served around 16.00 with a couple of snacks. Dined twice at hotel delicious food. Good location step out where there’s a good selection of shops, cafes and dining options. Highly recommend.
Beautiful boutique hotel. Takes u back to history with all modern amenities. Awesome service with cleanliness. Plenty of staff available for help at all hours. Highly recommend and will definitely return for stay in future!!!!
Lovely historic hotel in the prime location of Fort Kochi. Excellent location to explore the city, with many of the attractions within very short walking distance. Two out of three nights we had dinner in the courtyard restaurant. Dinner was excellent with plenty of Kerela seafood options. At 4pm tea/snacks are also served in the courtyard which we would recommend. Staff were excellent and were very attentive to our concerns. The building itself is 400 years old and is very well maintained for its age, however some rooms do need some maintenance. The staff assured us they would take care of this during the off-season.
What a fantastic experience at Forte Kochi! I have stayed at many places but this one was a truly special experience. You can look at the photos and note that it is a gorgeous and intimate place but for me it was the staff. They were extremely attentive, kind and, were aware of your needs even before you noticed. It takes a special team of people to elevate your experience to this level. I am definitely returning to this gem!

This is an extraordinary hotel, a colourful and unique oasis in the middle of bustling kochi.
The rooms were beautiful and large and cool with a hot shower and comfortable beds. The pool and communal areas were also gorgeous and tranquil. Breakfast was fine, a good selection. Staff were great also. The afternoon snacks were delightful and a really appreciated extra. The fresh lime soda from the bar was amazing. It is quite noisy as it is in the middle of the town so cars horns and dog barking are quite loud but the shutters help and this is unavoidable in its location. The hotel is well situated for walking out to nearby cafes and shops with local clothes and crafts as well as the local sights such as the beach and the st Francis church.
Fort kochi is a beautiful heritage hotel, well maintained and full of wonderful history. It is furnished tastefully and has much charm. The staff in all sections are amazing, every staff member we dealt with from the gentleman who opened the main door to us on arrival, to the staff who attended to us in our rooms, in the bar, reception and restaurant were exceptional. The complementary breakfast and afternoon tea were such a bonus. The only negative comment - I wish we could have some daylight in the room. You can open the windows but then run the risk of mosquitoes entering. But this did not detract from a wonderful stay.
My husband and I initially booked our stay for about 3-4 days, but once we got there, my husband hurt his back and we extended our stay. The staff definitely went over and beyond to take care of us. We requested a 3-day treatment from the male massage therapist on staff - which helped my husband immensely. On top of it, we requested the staff for a doctor, who prescribed medicine for my husband, which the staff went and got for us. They checked on us and inquired about his back every single time they saw us. They even brought food from the breakfast buffet to our room since my husband's back was so bad he couldn't walk over to the restaurant area. It was just amazing. We can't wait to come back to this place the next time we're in Kerala!
