« You'll need to manage your expectations if staying here. Its cheap & its cheap for a reason. Its not Travelodge style accommodation, but (I suspect) cheaply built and maintained block of approx 15 holiday camp type rooms in a working farm yard. I stayed in room 12 that had been recently painted & had a new carpet. Lovely hot shower, comfortable bed, working kettle. No towels supplied but i expected this from other reviews. & no breakfast despite plenty of signs saying B&B. I feel its...

« Lovely pub, friendly staff. We only stayed 1 night but the rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. The breakfast was cooked beautifully and really tasty. We would have had diner there but unfortunately it was the Christmas market on within Tarvin that evening so no food was served other than a stall outside. Free parking for people staying in the pub. Within a 15 min drive into Chester - Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. An enjoyable if not brief visit. »

"Second stay here. This time check-in was slick and efficient; last time it was slow. When you are arriving at midnight after a long and delayed journey, the last thing you want is to fill in a form with the same details that should already have been transmitted by Hotel.com / Expedia. For me the price / quality is reasonable compared to other hotels in the immediate vicinity. However I still find the breakfast expensive and with no option to choose just the continental option at a more reasonable price. "
