Good breakfast with good choice. Friendly service and nice decor in dining room. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meal we had was good too. The menu is very extensive and reasonably priced. Everyone was friendly and the service was good. The rooms were not clean, smelly and tired. The bathroom was not clean. We didn’t complain because we were staying with friends and they booked the accommodation. So we didn’t want to cause any upset for them. A mixed review really. The owners said there was nobody staying in the room and the TV wasn't on standby but removed the plugs from socket to make sure. They were perplexed what it might be despite hearing recordings (possibly a staff member making some extra cash through the night?) and offered a refund as I didnt stay the last night of 3\. However when I asked them to refund through Expedia no further contact and a message from Expedia they couldn't be contacted so no refund given. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The only issue we had was with the noise of fellow guests next door (fire doors slamming and waking us up all through the night, snoring, dog whining at 7am) as the rooms weren’t well soundproofed however there was nothing the hotel staff could have done about that whilst we were there.
